The Soler & Palau TD-1000/200 SILENT 3V is the quiet counterpart of an ordinary duct fan: a mixed flow fan in plastic with sound-absorbent insulation, rated 1040 m3/h at high speed and only 29 dB(A) at 3 m. The S&P catalogue positions the series for places where people work and low sound level is required, and it notes that TD-350, TD-500, TD-800 and TD-1000 models carry a Noise Abatement Society certificate of approval.

That combination makes the model a natural choice for consulting rooms, meeting rooms, hotel corridors, serviced apartments and prayer or majlis spaces fitted with ceiling ductwork, where a standard duct fan of similar airflow would be noticeably louder. Picking the TD-1000/200 over TD-800/200

Both share a 200 mm spigot, the same 8.7 kg weight and the same dimension table. The TD-1000/200 gives 1040 m3/h at 29 dB(A) against 910 m3/h at 28 dB(A) for the TD-800/200 SILENT 3V on the high-speed points, so choose the 1000 when you need the extra roughly 14 percent airflow (derived) for a small noise increase.

The T version, TD-1000/200 SILENT T 3V, adds a run-on timer adjustable from 1 to 30 minutes; the datasheet says timer operation applies only on high speed, and these models are not suitable for speed control. Specify the plain code if you want a 3-speed switch.

Installation

The datasheet shows a five-step service sequence that doubles as installation guidance: loosen and open the clamps on both sides, remove the fan body, remove the terminal box lid, connect the electrical supply, then remount the fan body by tightening the clamps. The support bracket allows wall or ceiling installation and has twin-material supports for the motor section that absorb vibration.

Check the data plate voltage and frequency against the supply first, and use rigid ducting at both ends if you want to compare site sound levels with the catalogue figures, which are measured at 3 m in free air.

What the control and accessory codes actually do

The catalogue describes the controls in plain terms. COM-3 and INTER 4P are three-speed switches; REGUL 2 is a two-speed switch; REB is a single-phase electronic speed controller and RMB an auto-transformer type. For demand-controlled ventilation the datasheet offers an ECOWATT control that adapts fan speed to sensor readings, and a VAPZ regulator that takes a presence contact or a 0-10 V or 4-20 mA input from a CO2 probe or relative humidity sensor.
