Lenze EVS9322-EP 9300 Servo Position Controller 0.75 kW
Description
9300 servo position controller, 0.75 kW
Within the 9300 range, the Lenze EVS9322-EP handles a 0.75 kW axis with 1.7 kVA output power. It is the position-controlling variant of the 9300 servo family, with a positioning program on top of the servo hardware. Lenze lists the 9300 range under previous products on its website, so treat this as a legacy drive. The data below comes from the Lenze 9300 position controller system manual (EDSVS9332P EN 5.0, 07/2013); confirm availability, hardware and software version before ordering.

Standards and operating conditions
Supply options per the manual: three-phase 320 V to 440 V AC (45 to 65 Hz) or 450 V to 620 V DC. The enclosure is IP20 and reaches IP41 with push-through mounting. Motor cables under 50 m at 8 kHz need no output filter. The manual prints CE conformity (2006/95/EC, 2004/108/EG) and cULus approval, File No. E132659.
Reading the type code EVS9322-EP
Decoded with the manual’s nameplate key: EVS (servo controller), 9322 (0.75 kW at 400 V), E (built-in design), P (servo position controller). No V suffix means the standard variant; V003, V004, V100 and V104 exist for cold plate, Safe Torque Off, IT mains and STO plus IT mains.
Inputs, outputs and feedback
Terminals and feedback match the 9300 servo inverter (analog 2 in / 2 out, digital 5 in / 4 out, resolver, encoder, frequency I/O). What the position controller adds, per its manual, is a positioning program started and reset via digital inputs. Communication modules plug onto the AIF interface at X1; the manual lists LECOM-A/B, LECOM-B, LECOM-LI, LON, INTERBUS, INTERBUS Loop, PROFIBUS-DP and DeviceNet/CANopen modules.
Control accuracy per the manual: the switching frequency is 8 kHz or 16 kHz, digital setpoints are accurate to plus or minus 0.005 Hz, and analog setpoints have a linearity of plus or minus 0.15 percent with an offset of plus or minus 0.1 percent. Cycle times for inputs and outputs are 1 ms. The unit meets the protective measures listed for short circuit, earth fault, overvoltage and motor overtemperature, using a PTC or thermal contact input. These features apply to the 0.75 kW size as to the rest of the range.
Options the manual assigns to 9322
Accessory codes in the manual: choke EZN3A1500H003, category C1 filter EZN3B1500H003, chopper EMB9352-E, resistor ERBD180R300W, push-through kit EJ0036 (cutout 82 x 350 mm); shield kits EZZ0015 and EZZ0016. Hot or high installations derate the output by 2.5% per degree over +40 degrees C and 5% per 1000 m over 1000 m.
Replacing an installed 9322 position controller
Most enquiries for the EVS9322-EP come from machines that already run on the 9300 platform, so the safest approach is a like-for-like exchange. Before removing the old unit, read its full nameplate, including the hardware and software version, and record every parameter. Where possible, save the parameter set and the positioning program with the Lenze engineering software or a keypad that supports parameter transfer, and keep a printed list of key settings as a fallback. Note how each terminal is wired, which communication module sits on the AIF interface, and whether a brake resistor, mains choke or filter is connected, then label every cable before disconnecting it.
Installation and commissioning
Fit the replacement in the same mounting position, keeping the clearances for cooling given in the system manual, and restore the shield connections of the motor and feedback cables carefully, as poor shielding is a frequent cause of encoder or resolver faults on servo axes. After wiring, check the mains voltage and earth connections before switching on. Load the saved parameters and positioning program, then confirm the feedback signal, motor rotation direction and limit switches with reduced speed and torque. Run the homing sequence and test each positioning profile step by step before returning the machine to full production speed, and save the final settings for future reference.
Operating environment in Oman and the GCC
Older machines often sit in panels that were designed for milder climates, and Omani summers can push cabinet temperatures above the point where the manual requires output derating. Check the real temperature inside the cabinet during the hottest part of the day, and improve ventilation or add cooling if the controller runs near its limits. As an IP20 device, the drive needs a cabinet that keeps out dust and moisture. Fine dust drawn into the heatsink reduces cooling and can bridge electronic components, while humid coastal air encourages condensation when a machine stands idle overnight; sealed enclosures, clean filters and anti-condensation heaters help in both cases.
Keeping a legacy axis running
Because the 9300 range is listed by Lenze as a previous product, plan ahead for the life of the machine. Keep current backups of all parameter sets and programs, inspect the cooling fans and terminals during planned shutdowns, and review the fault history for recurring overcurrent, overvoltage or feedback errors. When several 9300 drives are installed, record their type codes and versions in one list so that maintenance teams know exactly which spare matches each axis.
Selection checks for a matching spare
Compare the type code, the variant suffix and the communication module of the installed unit with the spare being offered, and confirm that the motor, its feedback device and the supply arrangement are unchanged. Any difference should be resolved with the machine builder or Lenze documentation before the spare is fitted.
Documents and quotation
Open the attached system manual for the complete 93xx range up to 75 kW, including wiring and commissioning. More products: Servo Drives. A quotation needs the exact part number, mains voltage, motor and feedback type, and any Safe Torque Off or IT-mains requirement.

About brand
Lenze is a German company for drive and automation technology for machine building, founded in 1947 and headquartered in Aerzen, Lower Saxony. Its portfolio runs from frequency inverters, servo inverters and motors to controllers, engineering software and digital services.
Seven Star LLC is an independent supplier in Muscat. We list Lenze frequency and servo inverters, including current and earlier generations, for machine builders and maintenance teams in Oman and the GCC.
Lenze product series
Current inverters on this site are the i500 family: the i510 compact frequency inverter, the i550 cabinet inverter and its i550 protec decentral version for mounting on the machine, and the i950 cabinet servo inverter. Earlier generations that are still widely installed are also listed: the 8400 StateLine C inverters (E84AVSC...), the 8200 vector frequency inverters (E82EV...) and the 9300 servo position controllers and servo inverters (EVS93...), including versions with Safe Torque Off.
Where Lenze drives are used
Conveyors and intralogistics, packaging and bottling lines, pumps and fans, hoists, textile and printing machines, and positioning axes on special machines. Many plants in the region keep 8200 vector and 9300 drives in service and need exact replacements or a planned migration to the i500 series.
Ordering Lenze inverters: what we need
Send the complete type code from the nameplate, for example E84AVSCE5524SX0, together with the supply voltage, motor power and current, the control interface or fieldbus module, and any options such as safety functions, keypad or brake resistor. When replacing an installed drive, keep the parameter set and wiring records, because a new unit or a successor model must be parameterised to match the machine.
