Miller Spectrum 375 X-TREME Portable Air Plasma Cutter, 30 A
Description
A 19 lb air plasma cutter that runs from 120 V or 240 V supplies
The Miller Spectrum 375 X-TREME is a portable 30 A air plasma cutter intended for maintenance crews, light fabrication, HVAC ductwork, body shops and quick-turn prototyping. Miller rates it at 3/8 in. (9.5 mm) clean cut on mild steel and 5/8 in. (15.9 mm) severance, and the whole unit weighs 19 lb (8.6 kg) with the torch, so one person can carry it by the shoulder strap to the cutting position.
Its Auto-Line circuitry connects to 120 to 240 V single-phase power at 50 or 60 Hz without relinking the machine. Multi-voltage plug adapters (MVP) let the operator choose the plug that matches the receptacle on site, and line voltage compensation holds performance when the supply fluctuates by up to plus or minus 15 percent. Miller also states that the unit gives complete cutting capability from an engine-driven welder or generator with a 240 V receptacle of 4 kW or more, which suits remote field work.

Mild steel cut speeds at 30 A and 20 A
Miller lists recommended travel speeds that are about 80 percent of maximum. At 30 A (240 V or a 30 A, 120 V circuit): 1/16 in. at 240+ ipm, 1/8 in. at 100 ipm, 3/16 in. at 63 ipm, 1/4 in. at 36 ipm, 3/8 in. at 18 ipm, 1/2 in. at 10 ipm and 5/8 in. at 6 ipm. At 20 A (120 V, 15 A circuit): 1/16 in. at 158 ipm, 1/8 in. at 50 ipm, 3/16 in. at 33 ipm, 1/4 in. at 17 ipm, 5/16 in. at 8 ipm and 3/8 in. at 6 ipm, with a 3/8 in. maximum sever on the lower setting.
Operator aids include LED indicators for power, pressure, cup and temperature, automatic air regulation that compensates for input pressure variation, and Auto-Refire, which keeps the pilot arc cycling when cutting expanded metal or several pieces without re-triggering.
Ordering, accessories and what to confirm before ordering
The complete package is stock number 907529: 120-240 V, 50/60 Hz, with a 12 ft XT30 torch, work clamp, X-CASE carrying case, 10 ft MVP power cord with 5-15P and 6-50P plugs, shoulder strap and a consumables box with 2 electrodes, 2 tips, deflector and air fitting. Printed accessory numbers include the XT30 torch 249949, consumable kit 253520, X-CASE 300184, full KVA adapter cord 300517, plasma standoff roller guide 253054, circle-cutting guide 253055, in-line air filter kit 228926 with element 228928, and a 5-20P MVP plug 219259 (optional).
Confirm the receptacle standard and supply voltage on site, because the Oman and GCC socket types differ from the NEMA plugs supplied, the thickness and metal to be cut, and the clean dry compressed air available. For thicker or higher-duty work compare the Miller Spectrum 875 or browse all Plasma Cutting Systems.
How the Miller Spectrum 375 X-TREME works
The cutter forces compressed air through a small nozzle. An electric arc heats the air into a plasma jet. The jet melts the metal and blows the molten metal out of the cut. The work clamp completes the circuit between the torch and the plate.

About brand
Blue welding machines from Appleton, USA, where Miller has built arc welding equipment since 1929, are a common sight in pipe shops and on construction sites. Seven Star LLC sources and supplies Miller welding power sources, engine-driven welders, induction heating systems, MIG guns and auto-darkening helmets for fabricators and contractors in Oman, and checks each model and its input power configuration against the manufacturer's documentation before quoting.
Miller product families listed here
Miller welding machines on this page cover most processes used in plant construction and maintenance:
- TIG and stick: Dynasty 400 AC/DC and Maxstar 210 STR
- Multiprocess: XMT 400 ArcReach, XMT 650 and the PipeWorx 400 pipe welding system
- Engine-driven welders: Trailblazer 330 and Big Blue 800 Duo Pro
- Induction heating: ProHeat 35
- Guns and helmets: XR-Aluma-Pro push-pull gun; T94, Classic, Digital Performance, Digital Elite and Digital Infinity helmets
Where Miller equipment is used
An XMT or PipeWorx set suits pipe spools and structural work where one power source must run stick, TIG, MIG and flux-cored procedures. Dynasty machines handle aluminum and stainless TIG. Trailblazer and Big Blue engine drives go where no mains supply exists, such as pipelines, tank erection and remote maintenance in the GCC. The ProHeat 35 is used for preheat and post-weld heat treatment of pipe joints.
Ordering Miller machines and parts: what we need
State the model and the Miller part number of the exact package, because the same machine is sold in several configurations. Give the supply at your site (voltage, phase and 50 Hz), the process and maximum current, and the accessories needed: wire feeder, remote control, cable length, torch or gun, cooler, running gear. For spare parts, the serial number from the rating label is essential, since Miller parts lists are issued by serial number range. For helmets, name the series and lens type.
