Hanwha Vision TNP-A9430RW 8MP AI Ruggedized PTZ Camera, 43x Zoom

Description

A ruggedized 8MP PTZ for long perimeters and harsh climates

The Hanwha Vision TNP-A9430RW is an 8MP AI PTZ camera for the toughest outdoor sites. It has a 1/1.8 inch sensor, a 6.1 to 262.4 mm lens with 43x optical zoom and optical image stabilization, and 500 m of IR illumination at 850 nm. Hanwha lists operation from -50 to +60 degC, a sustained wind load of 257 km/h (160 mph), IP66 and IP68, NEMA 4X and NEMA TS 2, plus a long list of MIL-STD-810H methods and an ASTM B117 salt fog reference.

Pan and tilt run at up to 160 degrees per second with a preset accuracy of plus or minus 0.07 degrees. The tilt range depends on installation: 140 degrees upright or inverted, and 165 degrees in the canted position. AI functions include object detection, auto tracking and target lock tracking for persons and vehicles, with BestShot thumbnails and attributes, built on the Wisenet 9 chip with dual NPU. A wiper and ice removal for the window and pan are listed.

Installation direction, mounts and power

The camera can be installed upright, inverted or canted, and the tilt range changes with the direction, so choose the orientation first and then the bracket. Hanwha lists compatible mounts and power accessories, including the SBP-004PBW, SBP-004WMW, SBP-150PMW and SBP-156KMW mounts and the SPP-series items, in its compatible-devices list. The unit weighs 10.5 kg and has an EPA of 0.095 m2, so check the pole and wind-load calculation.

PoE++ Class 8 up to 71 W is required, with the RJ-45 push-pull connector. Where cable runs exceed the Ethernet limit, a long-range PoE injector or media converter must be planned. The datasheet notes start-up above -30 degC although operation extends to -50 degC. For salt-laden coastal sites, the salt fog test reference in the datasheet is helpful, but corrosion performance still depends on exposure.

Compare it with the XNP-9300RW when 4K, 30x zoom and lower weight are enough. In your enquiry state the colour, orientation, mounting bracket, power source, VMS and quantity.

Hanwha Vision product series

AI cameras include the XNO-A9084R 8MP IR bullet and the XNV-A8084RS 5MP stainless steel IR vandal dome. PTZ cameras include the XNP-9300RW 4K 30x IR PTZ with wiper and the TNP-A9430RW 8MP ruggedized PTZ with 43x zoom.

The PNM-9322VQP is a multi-directional camera with four fixed channels and a PTZ.

AI cameras classify people and vehicles to reduce false alarms, and IR illumination allows viewing in darkness. Stainless steel housings suit corrosive and coastal environments, and multi-directional cameras cover several directions from one mounting point.

PTZ cameras with long zoom are used to follow events over large areas.
