Brand:

Axis Q6355-LE AI-Powered 2 MP PTZ Camera with Laser Focus

Description

A fast PTZ camera with laser focus for low-light sites

The Axis Q6355-LE is a 2 MP pan-tilt-zoom camera built around a light-sensitive 1/2 inch sensor with 31x optical zoom (6.91 to 214.64 mm, F1.36 to F4.6). Laser focus and a zoom speed of under one second between any two zoom values let it reach and sharpen a target quickly. It runs on the ARTPEC-9 chip, which Axis says allows more demanding edge analytics, and supports AV1 in addition to H.264 and H.265 through Zipstream.

The housing is rated IP66, IP67, NEMA 4X and IK10, and NEMA TS 2 compliance allows operation up to a maximum temperature of 74 degC. OptimizedIR with 850 nm LEDs reaches 300 m or more depending on the scene. Pan speed goes up to 550 degrees per second and the camera can cover 372x total zoom when optical and digital zoom are combined. Two variants are listed: the standard model and an NM variant sold without the midspan.

Q6355-LE or Q6225-LE, and what to plan around it

Both the Q6355-LE and the Axis Q6225-LE offer 1080p and 31x zoom with the same 6.91 to 214.64 mm lens range. The Q6355-LE is the newer ARTPEC-9 design with laser focus, AV1, faster pan and tilt and a lighter 4.4 kg body, while the Q6225-LE is rated to MIL-STD-810G with a 400 m or more IR range. Choose according to whether the site needs fast target acquisition and newer analytics or the heavier military-style specification.

Power is the main installation point. The camera needs 802.3bt Class 6 (up to 51 W at full power, 30 W in the low-power profile), and the standard variant includes a 90 W midspan. Buy the NM variant only if the switch already supplies the required power. Axis lists hard-coated clear and smoked domes and a 90 W connectivity midspan as optional accessories.

Where overview and detail are both needed, pair this PTZ with a fixed camera such as the Axis P1465-LE. In an enquiry state the variant (with or without midspan), the mount, the cable length and the video management system.
