Zebra ZT620 6-Inch High-Performance Industrial Label Printer
Description
The Zebra ZT620 is the wide-format printer of the ZT600 series. It keeps the touch-display, gigabit-Ethernet platform of the ZT610 but prints up to 6.6 in. (168 mm) wide, for large pallet and shipping labels, equipment nameplates, hazard labels and tags carrying multiple barcodes or graphics.
Wide labels on a high-performance platform
Like the ZT610, the ZT620 uses a thin-film printhead with E3 element energy equalizer, dual media sensors, a 4.3 in. colour touch display, 1 GB SDRAM and 2 GB Flash. Resolution is 203 dpi (8 dots/mm) or 300 dpi (11.8 dots/mm), and speeds are programmable from 2 to 12 in./s at 203 dpi. The wider mechanism accepts media 2.0 in. (51 mm) to 7.1 in. (180 mm) wide.

Sensing and set-up notes
The sheet gives a first-dot location of -0.10 in. +/- 0.035 in. at both resolutions and a barcode X-dimension of 4.9 to 49 mil (picket fence) at 203 dpi. Gap, notch, hole and black-mark standards match the ZT610: 2 to 4 mm gaps, 6 mm by 3 mm notches, 3 mm holes and black marks of 3 to 11 mm length with density above 1.0 ODU.
ZT620 compared with the ZT421
The ZT421 is the other 6.6 in. printer on this site, based on the ZT400 platform at up to 12 in./s; the ZT620 offers the larger memory and gigabit Ethernet of the ZT600 series. Choose on the interface, memory and options you need. Confirm cutter, rewind, RFID, cord type and media before ordering; see also industrial automation accessories.
Practical points for wide labels: a wider label web needs even media tension and a ribbon that covers the full print width, so choose ribbon of matching width, and keep the roll and ribbon aligned when loading. The sheet gives the maximum roll as 8.0 in. outside diameter on a 3 in. core and a standard ribbon length of 1476 ft (450 m). Zebra advises qualifying every application with thorough testing, so print a trial run of the real label at the intended speed before committing a batch, because print quality and registration depend on media type and width, ribbon type and speed.
