Field-mount flow rate indicator and totalizer with pulse and analog outputs

The Fluidwell F110 is a flow rate indicator and totalizer for liquid flow measurement where the flow rate, the total and the accumulated total must be shown locally and also sent on to a PLC, DCS or counter. It reads a pulse or 4-20 mA flow signal, retransmits the flow rate as a (0)4-20 mA or 0-10 V DC signal and the accumulated total as a scalable pulse output, and offers Modbus communication over RS232, RS485 or TTL. Fluidwell supplies it in a panel-mount GRP housing that converts to an IP67 / Type 4X field enclosure with a back case, and in aluminium or 316L stainless steel field enclosures. An Intrinsically Safe version carries ATEX and IECEx approval for gas and dust.

Ordering code structure

The model is built from F110 followed by the input type (P), the analog output (AA, AB, AF, AI, AP or AU), the communication option, the pulse output (OA, OR or OT), the enclosure, the power type and the Intrinsically Safe option XI. The datasheet gives an example for a battery-powered Intrinsically Safe unit, F110-P-(AP)-(CT)-IB-(OT)-PC-XI. The backlight is ordered as an option code, and enclosure codes cover the GRP panel mount, aluminium and stainless steel panel mounts and a range of field-mount housings with different cable entries.

Selection and what to confirm before ordering

Confirm the flow meter output type and frequency, whether the analog output should loop-power the indicator, the pulse output type needed by the receiving counter, the cable entry standard and the hazardous area classification. The datasheet lists alternative basic models (F010 to F014) and more advanced models (F112, F113, F118). Both listed units belong to the F-Series, the field mount indicators that Fluidwell offers in intrinsically safe versions. The F114 compares two flow signals, shows their ratio and totalizes.
