Sensus DomoJet Single Jet Water Meter DN 15-20
Description
The Sensus DomoJet is a single jet water meter for residential use in DN 15 and DN 20, described by Sensus as the new generation of its single jet range. It is a superdry design for hot or cold water, intended for domestic indoor divisional applications such as sub-metering of flats, and its MID certification covers ratios up to R160. It has a small body, with the DN 15 weighing 0.35 kg, and can be fitted with wired or radio communication modules.

What the data sheet says about performance
DomoJet achieves, according to the manufacturer, the highest metrological performance in its category. At Q3 of 2.5 or 4 m3/h the meter has a standard ratio of R80, with other ratios up to R160 on request, and starts to register at 6 or 8 litres per hour. It offers temperature classes T30, T50 and T30/90, flow profile sensitivity classes U0 and D0, IP68 protection and high protection against external magnetic fields. The register can be rotated through 360 degrees and the meter supports various installation positions, with hydraulic ratios of R80 horizontally and R63 vertically. It is pre-equipped for static pulse transmitters on request.
Selecting the right variant
Pick DN 15 or DN 20 from the expected consumption and the existing pipe size, and then the lay length: DN 15 is offered in 80, 110 and 115 mm and DN 20 in 115 and 130 mm, with G3/4B and G1B threads. The temperature class (T30, T50 or T30/90) must match the water temperature, and a radio or wired module should be specified at order if remote reading is required. The head loss at Q3 is 0.63 bar. As with all residential meters, check the approvals the local authority or the building owner requires: the references in the data sheet are European MID module certificates and health certifications are stated to be available for a number of countries.
How the Sensus DomoJet works
The DomoJet is a single jet meter. A single jet of water from the inlet hits the impeller and makes it spin at a speed that follows the flow rate. A magnetic coupling passes the turns to the register without a wet gear train, which is why it is called superdry. The register shows the volume in cubic metres and can be turned through 360 degrees to make reading easy. The meter has high protection against external magnetic fields.
Where the Sensus DomoJet is used
- Flats with sub-metering
- Houses
- Residential hot water lines
- Residential cold water lines
- Indoor divisional applications
Selection checklist for the Sensus DomoJet
- Size: DN 15 or DN 20
- Permanent flow Q3 of 2.5 or 4 m3/h
- Ratio R80, or higher up to R160
- Temperature class T30, T50 or T30/90
- Installation length
- Thread G3/4B or G1B
- Horizontal or vertical position
- Wired or radio module
Installation, commissioning and maintenance notes for Sensus DomoJet
Flush the pipe before fitting the meter so debris does not reach the impeller. Fit the meter with the arrow in the flow direction and use the right length for the space. Hydraulic ratios are R80 horizontal and R63 vertical, so note the position. Tighten the connections and check for leaks. A radio or wired module can be added to the pre-equipped meter. Keep the register face clean for reading.
Requesting a quotation for the Sensus DomoJet
Please send the size, the length, the temperature class, the ratio and the quantity. Seven Star LLC serves industrial customers in Oman and the GCC and replies with a quotation based on the information provided.
Sensus DomoJet flow data
Q1 is 31.25 and 50 l/h and Q2 is 50 and 80 l/h. The overload flow Q4 is 3.125 and 5 m3/h. The starting flow is 6 l/h for DN 15 and 8 l/h for DN 20.
Sensus DomoJet accuracy
The maximum permissible error is 5 percent between Q1 and Q2. Between Q2 and Q4 it is 2 percent for water up to 30 degrees C and 3 percent above that.
Sensus DomoJet protection
The meter has IP68 protection, tested at 1 m immersion for one hour. The nominal pressure is 16 bar.
Sensus DomoJet size and weight
The DN 15 weighs 0.35 kg and the DN 20 weighs 0.45 kg. Lengths are 80, 110 or 115 mm for DN 15 and 115 or 130 mm for DN 20.
Sensus DomoJet meter records
Record the serial number, the install date and the first reading. The register reads up to 100,000 m3 and the smallest reading is 0.05 m3.
Choosing the right Sensus DomoJet
Choose the size from the permanent flow of the flat, and check the length and thread of the existing pipework.

About brand
Sensus is a water and thermal energy metering manufacturer whose Sensus International business is based in Ludwigshafen am Rhein, Germany. Its range runs from static electromagnetic and ultrasonic meters such as iPERL and Cordonel to volumetric, multijet, turbine and compound meters, with SensusRF radio for fixed-network and walk-by or drive-by reading. Seven Star LLC, an independent supplier in Muscat, lists Sensus meters that are backed by the manufacturer data sheets.\n\n
Sensus meter technologies
\n\nSensus International states that it is one of the few global manufacturers offering both leading static metering technologies, electromagnetic and ultrasonic, alongside traditional mechanical meters. Piston meters such as the 620 and 640, the 420 multijet and the DomoJet single jet cover residential and sub-metering duty, while the WP-Dynamic turbine, the WPV-MS compound meter and the MeiStream Plus bulk meter serve larger flows.\n\n
What we need to quote a Sensus meter
\n\nSend the DN, connection or flange drilling, lay length, ratio, temperature class, the approvals your utility requires (MID, OIML R49, ISO 4064 or potable water approvals) and the radio protocol. Note that the North American iPERL+ is documented in US units and standards, separately from the international range.
