Badger Meter

Water utilities know Badger Meter first for its Recordall mechanical meters, and process engineers for its ModMAG electromagnetic flow meters. The Milwaukee company has made flow measurement equipment since 1905. Seven Star LLC lists Badger Meter Recordall Compound and Turbo Series water meters and the ModMAG M2000, and supplies Badger Meter flow meters to utilities, contractors and plants in Oman and the GCC.

Recordall Turbo Series meters are turbine meters for potable cold water in commercial and industrial service, in sizes from 1-1/2 to 12 in. Recordall Compound Series meters combine a turbine chamber for high flow with a positive displacement chamber for low flow, so the meter keeps registering when demand drops to a trickle. The ModMAG M2000 is an electromagnetic meter with no moving parts in the flow, for water, wastewater and other conductive liquids above about 5 µS/cm, with outputs such as Modbus RTU, HART, Profibus DP, BACnet and EtherNet/IP.

Ordering Badger Meter flow meters: what we need

State the line size, flow range, liquid and its temperature and pressure. For Recordall meters add the register type and units (gallons, cubic feet or cubic meters) and the end connections. For the ModMAG M2000 add liner and electrode material, flange standard, integral or remote amplifier, supply voltage and the communication protocol.
