The LVM20A240 is a modular level monitoring relay from Lovato Electric. Function: emptying. It senses the conductive liquid between 3 electrodes and works with SN1, SCM, CGL, PS31 or PS3S electrodes and holders, as the datasheet lists.

Sensitivity is adjustable (2.5-50 adjustable kΩ), the electrode voltage is 7.5 VAC so there is no electrolysis wear on the probes, and the relay supply is 220-240 VAC with a power consumption of 3.5 VA.

Use clean-water settings for low sensitivity values and a higher kilo-ohm limit for conductive but contaminated liquids; check the datasheet for the allowed ranges.

Lovato order codes describe the product. On a contactor such as BF0910A230, "BF09" is the frame and rated current (9 A in AC-3), "10" is the built-in auxiliary contact (one normally open), "A" means an AC coil and "230" is the coil voltage. The coil voltage must match the control circuit exactly, so it is the most common detail to check when replacing one.
