Lenze EVS9324-EP 9300 Servo Position Controller 3.0 kW
Description
9300 servo position controller, 3.0 kW
Lenze EVS9324-EP is the position-controlling variant of the 9300 servo family, with a positioning program on top of the servo hardware, built for 3.0 kW (4.0 hp) on 400 V. At 16 kHz it supplies 5.2 A. This is a legacy item, since Lenze files the 9300 under previous products. Everything below follows the system manual EDSVS9332P EN 5.0, 07/2013 for the 9300 position controller; check availability and version levels first.

Standards and operating conditions
Mains and DC feed: 320 to 440 V AC three-phase at 45 to 65 Hz, or 450 to 620 V DC. Housing: IP20, with IP41 for the push-through version. Cable: motor leads shorter than 50 m at 8 kHz without additional filters. Certification printed in the manual: CE (2006/95/EC, 2004/108/EG), cULus File No. E132659.
Reading the type code EVS9324-EP
Per the key, EVS marks the servo controller range and 9324 the 3.0 kW size on 400 V. The letter E is the built-in design, and P the servo position controller version. Suffixes would add a variant: V003 cold plate, V004 Safe Torque Off, V100 IT mains, V104 STO with IT mains.
Inputs, outputs and feedback
The control section follows the 9300 servo hardware: 2 bipolar analog inputs and outputs, 5 digital inputs, 4 digital outputs, a controller inhibit input, a resolver input, an incremental encoder input and a digital frequency input and output. The position controller manual adds a positioning program that is started and reset through digital inputs. Fieldbus and serial modules go on the AIF interface (X1). The manual names LECOM-A/B, LECOM-B, LECOM-LI, LON, INTERBUS, INTERBUS Loop, PROFIBUS-DP and DeviceNet/CANopen.
Mains and environment: TT and TN systems are permitted without restriction with an earthed neutral, while IT systems need a V024 or V100 variant. The earth leakage current is above 3.5 mA, so a fixed installation with the required protective earth is necessary. Operation is rated up to 4000 m altitude and storage from minus 25 to plus 55 degrees C. For the 3.0 kW size the harmonic current limits of EN 61000-3-2 are met without extra measures above 1 kW of total mains power.
Options the manual assigns to 9324
For this size Lenze lists mains choke EZN3A0500H007, C1 mains filter EZN3B0500H007, brake chopper EMB9352-E, brake resistor ERBD068R800W and push-through kit EJ0037 with a cutout of 101 x 350 mm, plus shield kits EZZ0015 for the control cable and EZZ0016 for the motor cable. Hot or high installations derate the output by 2.5% per degree over +40 degrees C and 5% per 1000 m over 1000 m.
Manual and quotation
The attached Lenze system manual covers ratings, mounting, wiring and commissioning for the whole 93xx range up to 75 kW. Related drives are listed in Servo Drives. Please state the part number, voltage, motor and feedback type, plus STO or IT-mains needs, when requesting a quote.

About brand
Lenze is the German drive and automation company for machine building: frequency inverters, servo inverters, motors and gearboxes, controllers and engineering software. Its history begins on 5 November 1947, when Hans Lenze took over Stahlkontor GmbH in Hameln from the Mannesmann group. The group is led by Lenze SE, an unlisted European company based in Aerzen near Hameln, and the Lenze family owns all of its shares.
Seven Star LLC is an independent supplier in Muscat. We list Lenze frequency and servo inverters, including current and earlier generations, for machine builders and maintenance teams in Oman and the GCC.

Lenze product series
Current inverters on this site are the i500 family: the i510 compact frequency inverter, the i550 cabinet inverter and its i550 protec decentral version for mounting on the machine, and the i950 cabinet servo inverter. Earlier generations that are still widely installed are also listed: the 8400 StateLine C inverters (E84AVSC...), the 8200 vector frequency inverters (E82EV...) and the 9300 servo position controllers and servo inverters (EVS93...), including versions with Safe Torque Off.
Where Lenze drives are used
Conveyors and intralogistics, packaging and bottling lines, pumps and fans, hoists, textile and printing machines, and positioning axes on special machines. Many plants in the region keep 8200 vector and 9300 drives in service and need exact replacements or a planned migration to the i500 series.

Ordering Lenze inverters: what we need
Send the complete type code from the nameplate, for example E84AVSCE5524SX0, together with the supply voltage, motor power and current, the control interface or fieldbus module, and any options such as safety functions, keypad or brake resistor. When replacing an installed drive, keep the parameter set and wiring records, because a new unit or a successor model must be parameterised to match the machine.
