Brand:

Kübler Sendix 5853 Singleturn Absolute Encoder SSI BiSS

Description

A high-resolution singleturn encoder with BiSS electronic data sheet

The Kübler Sendix 5853 is a solid-shaft absolute singleturn encoder with optical sensor technology and a maximum resolution of 21 bits. It reports one revolution as an absolute position through SSI or BiSS, so the position is known immediately after power-up, with a position data refresh rate of 1 microsecond or better up to 14 bit. The through hollow-shaft sibling is the Sendix 5873.

Kübler highlights the BiSS-C BP3 encoder profile with an electronic data sheet for easy integration, a sturdy Safety-Lock bearing construction against vibration and installation errors, and special versions for direct drives in lift technology. IP67 housing protection and -40 to +90 C make it suitable for outdoor machines.

Choosing singleturn or multiturn

A singleturn encoder gives an absolute position over one revolution only, which suits rotary tables, dampers, positioners and drives with a gear stage or a short travel. If the application needs the number of revolutions as well, for example a long linear axis or a winch, choose a multiturn type such as the Sendix 5863. Resolution, preset value and counting direction are factory-programmable, so state them when ordering.

Browse other encoders or compare with the published SICK DFS60B incremental encoder“>SICK DFS60B. Check the clock rate and supply of the controller and the connection type before ordering.

How the Kübler Sendix 5853 works

A disc with a fine code pattern turns with the shaft. A light source and a sensor read the pattern and give one absolute value for each shaft angle. The electronics send this value over SSI or BiSS to the controller when it asks. The value stays correct after a power loss, so no homing run is needed.

About brand

Kübler is a family-owned German manufacturer of encoders and measuring technology, founded in 1960 and based in Villingen-Schwenningen. The company develops and produces rotary encoders, linear measuring systems, inclinometers, counters and displays, signal converters and slip rings for machine builders and plant operators. Seven Star LLC supplies Kübler encoders to industrial customers in Oman and the GCC on inquiry.

Rotary encoders for drives and machinery

The Sendix family covers incremental encoders such as the 5000 and 5020, optical and magnetic absolute encoders with SSI, BiSS or analog outputs, and explosion-protected versions with ATEX and IECEx approvals. One manufacturer can therefore serve drives, cranes, winches, packaging lines and hazardous-area machinery.

Counters, displays and connection technology

The company also lists pulse counters, tachometers, process displays, signal converters, cordsets and connectors that match its encoder range. Choosing the correct variant depends on the shaft or hollow-shaft size, flange, interface, resolution and protection class, and we check every order code against the manufacturer's datasheet before quoting.
