Hilti HIT-HY 200-R V3 Injectable Hybrid Mortar
Description
The Hilti HIT-HY 200-R V3 is a two-component hybrid injection mortar supplied in foil packs for post-installed anchors and reinforcing-bar connections in concrete. Hilti positions it for structural rebar splices and for anchoring steel baseplates, racking, machinery and guard rails to cracked or uncracked concrete from C20/25 to C50/60, with a longer working time than the faster HIT-HY 200-A V3 grade.
Where a hybrid mortar fits in post-installed connections
Hilti lists the mortar for post-installed rebar connections, for fastening secondary steel such as racking, machinery, guard rails and sound barriers, and for anchoring structural steel columns and beams. It is also listed for strengthening and retrofitting reinforced concrete, including replacing misplaced or missing cast-in rebar. The product page notes a working temperature range from -10 to +40 deg C and use in dry concrete, wet concrete and water-filled drill holes.
The datasheet covers threaded rods HAS and HAS-U (M8 to M30, including HDG, A4 and HCR variants), internally threaded sleeves HIS-N and HIS-RN (M8 to M20), HIT-Z torque-controlled bonded anchors, HAS-D and reinforcing bar from 8 to 32 mm. Hammer-drilled, hollow-drill-bit and diamond-cored holes are covered, the latter with the roughening tool.

Working and curing times for HIT-HY 200-R V3
Working time shortens quickly as the concrete warms. The datasheet gives the following values for the R grade, with the A grade for comparison:
| Base material temperature | HIT-HY 200-R V3 working / curing | HIT-HY 200-A V3 working / curing |
|---|---|---|
| -10 to -5 deg C | 3 h / 20 h | 1.5 h / 7 h |
| -5 to 0 deg C | 1.5 h / 8 h | 50 min / 4 h |
| 0 to 5 deg C | 45 min / 4 h | 25 min / 2 h |
| 5 to 10 deg C | 30 min / 2.5 h | 15 min / 75 min |
| 10 to 20 deg C | 15 min / 1.5 h | 7 min / 45 min |
| 20 to 30 deg C | 9 min / 1 h | 4 min / 30 min |
| 30 to 40 deg C | 6 min / 1 h | 3 min / 30 min |
The R grade gives the longer working time: at 30 to 40 deg C it allows 6 minutes against 3 minutes for the A grade. The datasheet temperature is that of the base material, so check the concrete temperature and not only the air temperature.
Selection and ordering checks
Confirm the anchor element (rod, sleeve, HIT-Z or rebar), diameter and embedment, the concrete condition, the drilling method and the approval the project requires; design is done in Hilti PROFIS Engineering to EN 1992-4, TR 082 or TR 086 as listed. State the dispenser needed, because the pack requires a matching HDM or HDE dispenser, and ask for the exact item number and pack size from the Hilti product page. Siblings in the same selection are HIT-HY 200-A V3 for faster curing, HIT-HY 170 for lighter-duty work and HIT-RE 500 V4 epoxy for heavy-duty anchoring.

About brand
Hilti is the Liechtenstein construction technology company for fastening, anchoring, firestop, installation and power tool systems. The brothers Martin and Eugen Hilti opened a small mechanical workshop in Schaan, Liechtenstein, in 1941, and the company turned to fastening technology after Martin Hilti acquired a fastening patent in 1948. Hilti is still headquartered in Schaan and controlled by the Martin Hilti Family Trust, created in 1980.
Seven Star LLC is an independent supplier in Muscat. We list Hilti power tools and firestop products, each with the manufacturer operating instructions, for contractors and maintenance teams in Oman and the GCC.
