Brand: Hilti
Hilti TE 2000-22 TE-S Cordless Jackhammer
Description
The Hilti TE 2000-22 is a cordless TE-S jackhammer on the Nuron 22 V platform with 38.2 J single impact energy and 1800 impacts per minute. Hilti says it delivers the demolition performance of the corded TE 2000 while freeing crews from the often unreliable site mains supply, and it is the cordless option for breaking slabs and foundations up to about 20 cm thick.
Cordless slab breaking where mains power is slow to arrive
The manufacturer lists breaking up concrete slabs and foundations up to 20 cm (about 8 in) thick, floor chasing and cutting channels for pipes, removing heavy paving without damaging the slab, and one-day demolition jobs where a fast start matters. It describes the tool as about 10 kg lighter and much slimmer than comparable battery jackhammers.
Hilti quotes half a ton of concrete per charge on one pair of B 22-255 batteries, and 1.5 tons with the optional large battery case; these are manufacturer claims and depend on the material. Used with a TE DRS-B dust removal system and a compatible Hilti vacuum cleaner, the maker reports up to 95 percent reduction of fine silica dust. Vibration at the handle for chiselling in concrete is quoted as 2.7 m/s2 and sound pressure as 87 dB(A).

Batteries, runtime and how it compares with the corded breakers
The UAE product page lists the breaker kit as the tool body and grease only, so batteries and chargers must be specified separately. The manufacturer’s runtime figures refer to a pair of B 22-255 batteries; ask for the battery set and charger you intend to use, and how many spare batteries a shift needs.
Against the corded range, the 38.2 J impact energy is above the corded TE 2000-AVR (35 J) and the TE 1000-AVR (26 J), while the weight without battery is 17.4 kg versus 14.5 kg for the corded TE 2000-AVR. Choose the corded model for continuous heavy production and this model where cables, generators or trip hazards limit the work. Confirm chisel type: the TE-S chuck takes TE-S chisels.
Hilti breakers and chipping hammers compared
The corded and cordless demolition tools listed by Hilti differ mainly in chuck type, impact energy and weight.
| Model | Chuck | Single impact energy | Weight |
|---|---|---|---|
| TE 500-AVR | TE-Y (SDS-max) | 8.5 J | 6.3 kg |
| TE 600-AVR | TE-Y (SDS-max) | 11.9 J | 5.9 kg |
| TE 700-AVR | TE-Y (SDS-max) | 11.5 J | 7.9 kg |
| TE 800-AVR | TE-S | 21 J | 10.6 kg |
| TE 1000-AVR | TE-S | 26 J | 12.5 kg |
| TE 2000-AVR | TE-S | 35 J | 14.5 kg |
| TE 3000-AVR | TE-H (Hilti HEX 28) | 85 J | 27.1 kg |
| TE 1000-22 (cordless) | TE-S | 24.7 J | 11.3 kg tool body |
| TE 2000-22 (cordless) | TE-S | 38.2 J | 17.4 kg tool body |
Key features for demolition crews
- 38.2 J single impact energy at 1800 blows per minute, from a battery tool rather than a corded breaker.
- Runs on the Nuron 22 V battery platform, so packs can be shared with other Nuron tools already on site.
- Low handle vibration figure of 2.7 m/s² when chiselling concrete, which helps manage daily exposure limits.
- Compatible with the TE DRS-B dust removal system for work where silica dust must be controlled.
- TE-S chuck for the heavy chisel range used on large breakers.
- Operating temperature range of -17 to 60 °C as stated in the specifications.
Where a cordless breaker saves time
On many sites the first demolition and modification work happens before a permanent supply is installed, or in occupied buildings where running extension leads across corridors creates a trip hazard. A battery breaker removes the generator, the cable and the waiting time. It also helps on scattered small jobs, such as cutting out a few slab sections for new drains, removing plinths, or breaking out damaged paving in several locations in one shift, where moving a generator from point to point costs more time than the breaking itself.
For long, continuous production on large slabs, the corded TE 2000-AVR or a pneumatic breaker may still be the more economical choice, because battery capacity limits the work per charge. Many contractors therefore keep both: the cordless tool for mobility and the corded tool for volume.
Chisel selection
The TE-S chuck takes Hilti TE-S chisels. A pointed chisel concentrates energy for breaking reinforced concrete and starting a hole; a flat chisel suits trimming edges and splitting paving; a wide spade or clay spade suits soil and asphalt. Keeping chisels sharpened to the correct profile maintains breaking rate and reduces strain on the operator and the tool. Apply chisel grease to the shank as the operating instructions describe.
Safe and efficient operation
- Let the weight of the tool do the work; extra downward force does not increase breaking rate and raises operator fatigue.
- Break material in bites near an edge rather than driving the chisel deep into the middle of a slab, where it can jam.
- Scan for embedded services, cables and post-tensioned tendons before breaking any slab.
- Wear hearing, eye and foot protection, and use dust extraction or respiratory protection as the risk assessment requires.
- Charge and store batteries in the shade; in hot GCC summers, rotating packs and allowing them to cool extends useful run time.
Use on projects in Oman and the GCC
Typical regional applications include refurbishment of hotels, malls and hospitals where noise, cable runs and generator fumes must be kept to a minimum; utility and telecom trenching across existing slabs; industrial plant shutdowns where floor sections are removed to install new equipment bases; and infrastructure work where repairs are spread along a road or a pipeline route. High ambient temperatures on outdoor sites make shaded battery charging and planned rest breaks part of the work plan.

About brand
Hilti is a construction technology company founded in 1941 by brothers Eugen and Martin Hilti in Schaan, Liechtenstein. Its range covers power tools and cordless systems, anchoring and fastening, firestop and modular support systems, and the services that go with them.
Power tools for concrete, steel and installation work
The power-tool line includes SDS Plus and SDS Max rotary hammers, breakers, angle grinders, impact wrenches, drill drivers, magnetic drills and saws. Many models run on the 22 V Nuron cordless battery platform, and the manufacturer publishes multilingual operating instructions with technical data, noise and vibration values stated under the EN 62841 standards for each tool.
Sourcing through Seven Star LLC
Seven Star LLC, an independent supplier in Muscat, lists selected power tools with their manufacturer operating instructions so that buyers in Oman and the GCC can compare torque, impact energy, disc size and battery platform before requesting a quotation. Product pages state what the manufacturer publishes and what should be confirmed before ordering.
