Brand: Hilti
Hilti SF 6H-22 Cordless Hammer Drill Driver
Description
The Hilti SF 6H-22 is a power-class cordless hammer drill driver with Active Torque Control, a full-metal 13 mm chuck and two gears of 0 to 490 rpm and 0 to 2,000 rpm. It delivers up to 65 Nm on a soft joint and 85 Nm on a hard joint, and it can hammer-drill into brick and masonry as well as drive and drill in metal and wood.
One hand-held tool for metal, wood and light masonry
Hilti lists hammer drilling in brick, masonry and aerated concrete up to 14 mm diameter, cutting recesses and through-holes with hole saws up to 127 mm, drilling with auger and spade bits in wood up to 32 mm, driving self-drilling screws in metal up to 6.3 mm, and drilling metal at high torque up to 13 mm.
Fifteen torque increments and the hammer function (listed at 36,000 impacts per minute in the operating instruction) cover driving and drilling in one body. Active Torque Control prevents uncontrolled spinning if the bit sticks, and an LED work light sits in the base. The brushless motor, metal chuck, rubber bumpers and optimised cooling are named as durability features.

Ordering notes and where the SF 6H-22 fits
The operating instruction covers the SF 6-22 (without hammer function) and the SF 6H-22 in one document, so check you are quoting the H (hammer) version if masonry drilling is needed. The tool weight is quoted differently on the product page and in the operating instruction, so confirm weight with Hilti if it is critical for a lifting or overhead specification.
Batteries and charger are separate; state the battery size you want. For larger holes in steel use the SF 30M-22 magnetic drill; for impact driving of large fasteners, the SIW series. A drill driver with a mechanical clutch is not a torque tool, so do not rely on the clutch setting for specified fastener torque.
Hilti cordless drilling and metal cutting tools on the same battery
These tools share the 22 V Nuron battery platform and are the ones most often paired in a fabrication or maintenance kit.

Choosing the SF 6H-22 for the job
The SF 6H-22 is the right choice when one tool has to cover drilling and driving in metal and wood, plus occasional hammer drilling into brick, masonry or aerated concrete. If masonry work is never needed, the SF 6-22 without the hammer function covers the same driving and drilling tasks. For heavier work in steel, the magnetic drill press in the table above handles larger holes, while the SF 8M-22 offers four speeds for users who need more control over drilling speed in metal.
The two-gear design lets the operator choose between high torque at low speed for large bits, hole saws and self-drilling screws, and high speed for small-diameter drilling. Selecting the right gear before starting the hole protects both the bit and the workpiece.
Typical applications on site and in maintenance
Typical tasks include fixing brackets and frames to block walls, drilling cable and pipe penetrations with hole saws, assembling timber structures with auger and spade bits, and fastening sheet metal with self-drilling screws. In plant maintenance, a single hammer drill driver is often carried by electrical and mechanical teams who move between metal structures and masonry walls during the same shift.
Safe use and working practice
Active Torque Control helps prevent uncontrolled spinning if the bit binds, but the operator should still hold the tool firmly with a stable stance, especially with large hole saws and auger bits. Use the hammer function only in masonry, and switch it off when drilling metal or wood. Wear hearing protection given the sound pressure level in the table, along with eye protection, and follow the safety instructions in the operating instruction attached to this page. Choose the torque increment to suit the fastener and material, and remember the clutch is not a substitute for a torque tool.
Getting the best from the tool
Use sharp bits and hole saws of good quality and let the tool work at its own pace instead of forcing it. Keep the chuck clean and tighten bits firmly in the full-metal chuck before starting. Store the tool in its box when not in use and within the storage temperature range given in the table, especially on hot sites where tools are left in vehicles.
How to specify your request for quotation
Name the model SF 6H-22, the quantity and whether you need the tool in box listed by Hilti. If you are building a set with other tools on the same platform, list those models from the table above in the same request so that the whole package can be quoted together.
Documents and quotation
The attached PDF is the manufacturer’s operating instruction for the SF 6H-22 in several languages, and it carries the safety instructions and the technical data quoted above. Item numbers, kit contents and voltage or plug versions change, so confirm them against the Hilti product page and in your enquiry to Seven Star LLC, an independent Muscat supplier. See the Material Handling & Lifting Equipment category for other drilling equipment.

About brand
Hilti is a construction technology company founded in 1941 by the brothers Eugen and Martin Hilti in Schaan, Liechtenstein, where it is still headquartered. Its products cover power tools and cordless systems, anchoring and fastening, firestop and modular support systems, measuring tools and the services around them.
Seven Star LLC is an independent supplier in Muscat. We list Hilti power tools and firestop products, each with the manufacturer operating instructions, for contractors and maintenance teams in Oman and the GCC.
Hilti product series
