Brand:

Allweiler OptiFix Progressing Cavity Pump AEB 2E-MF and 1F-MF

Description

Progressing cavity pump built for fast maintenance

The Allweiler OptiFix progressing cavity pump is designed for multiple pump series and for very fast disassembly and reassembly. The brochure claims up to 85 percent faster maintenance times compared with previous Allweiler designs, and a specially designed dismounting device that lets the stator and rotor be removed while the discharge casing and suction casing remain in the piping.

Breakthrough features named by the manufacturer include a patented zero play stub shaft connection and a high-quality joint construction. When the pump is fitted with an ALLDUR stator, pump life can be extended by up to 500 percent according to the brochure. OptiFix has a self-centering two-piece extension between stator and discharge casing, a double-sided inspection opening, a separate mechanical seal cover and a stator prepared for dry-running protection with the ATLS-T1V sensor.

Technical specifications

Data from the Allweiler OptiFix brochure (2018). Rotor and stator geometry define the two available series.

Parameter Specification
AEB 2E-MF series Sizes AEB 2E 200-MF, 2E 380-MF and 2E 750-MF; maximum pressure 10 bar
AEB 1F-MF series Sizes AEB 1F 403-MF, 1F 553-MF, 1F 703-MF, 1F 1003-MF and 1F 1603-MF; maximum pressure 6 bar
2E geometry benefits Low flow velocity and NPSH, gentle conveying of compacted products or large suspended solids, compact dimensions
1F geometry benefits Volumetric efficiency, long service life, compact dimensions with high flow rates
Maintenance Remove screws and extension piece, remove stator, remove inspection cover and rotor, loosen tensioning set, remove mechanical seal, drive-side joint and shaft
Dry-run protection Stator prepared for ATLS-T1V sensor, no sensor contact with rotor or pumped fluid, no drilling or adjustment of the sensor sleeve
Spare part kits Rotor with mounted joint; plug shaft with mounted joint
Fluids Liquid to pasty consistencies, dilatant, solids-bearing, abrasive, shear-sensitive, adhesives, lubricating and non-lubricating
Industries named Wastewater, pulp and paper, agriculture, environmental, industrial, ship building

Using the OptiFix in plant

The brochure shows the pump in wastewater and industrial sludge duty, where the stator and rotor are the wear parts. Because the stator and rotor can be removed while the casings stay in the pipe, the maintenance window shrinks and the pipework does not need to be disturbed. A common shaft and joint design across sizes simplifies spares holding.

Pick the 2E geometry for suspended solids and compacted products at up to 10 bar, and the 1F geometry for higher flow rates at up to 6 bar. The brochure does not list capacity or motor power, so request curves for the duty point.

Related pumps and checks

The Allweiler AEB-DE dosing pump uses the same progressing cavity principle for metering duty. Confirm fluid, solids content, temperature, pressure and elastomer compatibility before an RFQ. Other pumps are in the pump category, including the Allweiler TRILUB TRL V16-40R41 screw pump.

About brand

Allweiler has made pumps since 1860 and is based in Radolfzell, Germany. The name is closely tied to three-screw pumps for lubricating and fuel oils, next to centrifugal and progressing cavity pumps. Seven Star LLC lists the Allweiler TRILUB TRL screw pump and supplies Allweiler pumps and spare parts to power plants, marine operators and process plants in Oman as an independent supplier.

Allweiler TRILUB screw pumps

TRILUB is Allweiler's name for a family of three-screw pumps built for lubricating and hydraulic oil service. One driven screw meshes with two idler screws inside a liner and moves the oil axially with little pulsation, which suits lube oil circuits of turbines, compressors, gearboxes and diesel engines. The listed TRL V16-40R41 is a complete pump from this family. Buyers who search for Allweiler oil pumps are usually looking for this kind of unit, in the GCC as elsewhere.

Ordering Allweiler pumps and parts: what we need

Send the full type designation and the serial or order number from the nameplate. For a complete pump add the oil grade and viscosity, flow, discharge pressure, speed and motor data. For parts, name the item needed, such as the screw set, liner, mechanical seal or bearing.
