Allweiler EMTEC-C High-Pressure Coolant Supply Screw Pump

Description

Three-screw pump for high-pressure cooling lubricant supply

The Allweiler EMTEC-C is a redesigned three-screw pump for high-pressure coolant supply, now up to 100 bar. It is designed to handle good, medium or mal-lubricating abrasive fluids in cooling lubricant technology or process engineering, and the brochure positions it for metalworking applications, transfer lines, and grinding and deep drilling machines. In a typical machining centre it sits behind a low-pressure Allweiler centrifugal pump, a filter and the clean fluid tank.

EMTEC pumps are built for the harsh environment of high-pressure machine tool coolant service. Special hardening techniques give the housing bores a surface hardness similar to ceramic while keeping the elasticity that removes the danger of bore surface fracture, the rotors are hardened, and an extra-long balance piston improves volumetric efficiency while its flow cools and lubricates the silicon carbide seal faces.

What is different in the EMTEC-C

The brochure highlights a patented reversed hanging idler system that extends service life, thermochemically hardened housing bores, built-in venting for horizontal and vertical mounting, a clean transparent backflow pipe that shows any medium returning to the system, and easy control through a pressure sensor connection for a frequency controller. Sound levels across the pressure range are given in the datasheet.

Installation can be tank-top with the discharge above the tank cover, submerged in the tank, or foot-mounted, where the silicon carbide mechanical seal supports a long service life. Variable assembly is possible through the integrated mounting flange, and both SAE flanges and pipe thread connections are standard.

Applications and checks

The pump suits machine shops and fabrication workshops that run through-spindle coolant. Verify the coolant type, filtration level and dirt load against the limits above, and the pressure rating of the machine tool. For other Allweiler pumps see the Allweiler TRILUB TRL V16-40R41 screw pump and the pump category.

About brand

Allweiler has made pumps since 1860 and is based in Radolfzell, Germany. The name is closely tied to three-screw pumps for lubricating and fuel oils, next to centrifugal and progressing cavity pumps. Seven Star LLC lists the Allweiler TRILUB TRL screw pump and supplies Allweiler pumps and spare parts to power plants, marine operators and process plants in Oman as an independent supplier.

Allweiler TRILUB screw pumps

TRILUB is Allweiler's name for a family of three-screw pumps built for lubricating and hydraulic oil service. One driven screw meshes with two idler screws inside a liner and moves the oil axially with little pulsation, which suits lube oil circuits of turbines, compressors, gearboxes and diesel engines. The listed TRL V16-40R41 is a complete pump from this family. Buyers who search for Allweiler oil pumps are usually looking for this kind of unit, in the GCC as elsewhere.

Ordering Allweiler pumps and parts: what we need

Send the full type designation and the serial or order number from the nameplate. For a complete pump add the oil grade and viscosity, flow, discharge pressure, speed and motor data. For parts, name the item needed, such as the screw set, liner, mechanical seal or bearing.
