Allweiler AEB-DE Progressing Cavity Dosing Pump Series

Description

Progressing cavity dosing pump with one footprint for four sizes

The Allweiler AEB-DE is a dosing pump series for metering and dosing high-viscosity and particulate-filled fluids. It combines proven features from the Allweiler industrial range with optimized rotor and stator geometries for accurate metering. The modular setup offers four pump sizes with identical outside dimensions, so a skid builder can standardise the design whatever the flow rate and fluid, and later changes in flow need only a change of the conveying elements.

The brochure highlights a space-saving modular design, customisation with selected rotor and stator, bi-directional flow capability, and a choice of threaded or flanged connections with an optional baseplate. The suction casing has three closed drillings for filling, draining or fitting auxiliaries, and the seal sits in the flow of liquid, so the pump can be installed vertically without risk of dry run.

Applications named in the brochure

The series is sold into water and wastewater (polymer, flocculant), pulp and paper (additives, sizing agent, starch, dye), marine (oily water, urea, bilge, seawater), general industry (caustic soda, glycol, paints, glues, sealants), the chemical process industry (acid, leachate, catalysts, condensate, additives), mining (polymer, tenside, catalyst), food (oil, sauce, chocolate, liquor) and power (urea, waste oil, slop oil). High-grade stainless steel material allows the pumps to cover more applications than before.

The ATLS-T1 dry-running protection prevents breakdowns by detecting dry running, and the ATLS-P pressure transmitter monitors the pressure so the signal can be used to prevent overpressure damage to pump and piping.

Choosing and confirming

Because the four sizes share a footprint, the sizing question is flow and differential pressure; use the capacity-against-pressure chart in the brochure and confirm with the manufacturer. Check viscosity against the 28000 mPas limit and the solids content against 60 vol percent. For the related maintenance-friendly design see the Allweiler OptiFix pump, and for other pumps the pump category or the Allweiler TRILUB TRL V16-40R41 screw pump.

About brand

Allweiler is a German pump manufacturer and describes itself as Germany's oldest pump maker. Gotthard Allweiler invented a fire-fighting wing pump in 1860, and manufacturing moved to Radolfzell on Lake Constance in 1876, where Allweiler is still based. It joined the Colfax pump group in 1998, became part of CIRCOR in 2017, and CIRCOR has been owned by KKR since 2023.

Seven Star LLC lists the Allweiler TRILUB TRL screw pump and supplies Allweiler pumps and spare parts to power plants, marine operators and process plants in Oman as an independent supplier.

Allweiler TRILUB screw pumps

TRILUB is Allweiler's name for a family of three-screw pumps built for lubricating and hydraulic oil service. One driven screw meshes with two idler screws inside a liner and moves the oil axially with little pulsation, which suits lube oil circuits of turbines, compressors, gearboxes and diesel engines. The listed TRL V16-40R41 is a complete pump from this family. Buyers who search for Allweiler oil pumps are usually looking for this kind of unit, in the GCC as elsewhere.
