Haws 7610 AXION MSR Sink Mount Eye/Face Wash
Description
7610 is a Haws AXION MSR eye/face wash that mounts to the back of a sink, a counter top or a wall. Its pull-down valve opens a full continuous flow at 4.2 gpm and, when it is installed on an accessible counter, the unit is designed to be usable by a person with a disability.
Eyewash that folds away over a sink
The 7610 takes the AXION MSR head with its inverted directional laminar flow and puts it on an arm that pivots out of the way when not in use. Because it sits at the back of the sink or on a wall, the work surface stays clear. Haws gives the valve body as polished chrome brass, single action, pull-down to activate.
Haws also makes a 7610S version whose 13 in. drop-down length fits sinks the standard 7610 will not clear over. The datasheet also states that the unit is designed to be accessible when located on an ADA accessible sink or countertop 34 in. or less in height, with the mounting hole located so the upright arm is 20 in. to 25 in. from the front edge.
Key features as printed in the datasheet
- Sink, counter-top or wall mounting at the rear of the work surface.
- AXION MSR eye/face wash head, integral 4.2 gpm flow control.
- Single-action pull-down valve body in polished chrome brass.
- Designed for barrier-free access when properly located on an accessible counter.
- 8 in. x 10-3/4 in. universal sign and weekly test card.
- Certified by CSA to meet the ANSI/ISEA Z358.1 Standard for Emergency Eyewash and Shower Equipment (as printed in the Haws specification sheet).

Selection and ordering guide
Choose the 7610 where the supply is a laboratory sink or a counter and a floor-mounted bowl would block circulation. If the sink is too shallow or wide for the standard arm, the 7610S drop-down length in the same sheet is the alternative. The 7611 and 7612 sink-mount variants on the Haws site are separate listings.
Heights are set by the water pattern, not the housing: the sheet notes that pattern height depends on supply pressure, so verify it at your site pressure.
Installation and operation notes
The drawing asks for one 7/8 in. hole and two 5/32 in. holes where the unit is to be installed, assembly of the eye/face wash to the arm with the tab oriented away from the user, and silicone caulk under the base. Observe local codes for supply and waste requirements, as the drawing note states.
The product page offers the manual and installation drawing as downloads; the valve can be serviced with the VRK7650 kit.
Applications in Oman and the GCC
Laboratories, hospital-type clinics, university research benches, quality-control rooms at refineries and petrochemical plants, and food-and-beverage production areas in the GCC all use counter-mounted eyewash. The arm arrangement leaves the sink usable for normal work.
Where hot supply is likely, the tempering valve options listed in the sheet are worth specifying.
