Donaldson Minipleat Panel M6-H13 Gas Turbine Panel Filter
Description
A static panel filter for gas turbine inlet air, from M6 to H13
The Donaldson Minipleat Panel series is a range of static panel filters for gas turbine inlet houses. Eight efficiency grades cover EN 779:2012 M6, F7, F8 and F9 and EN 1822 E10, E11, E12 and H13, all built on Turbo-Tek media that is watertight (rating W5 on Donaldson scale) and oil resistant. The vertical pleat orientation lets moisture collect on the media and drain down the pleat packs instead of being carried over.
Panels come in two depths, a 292 mm standard and a 440 mm deep version, both with a 592 x 592 mm face. Donaldson positions them for plants that need higher efficiency than a coarse pre-filter delivers, to keep fine and corrosive particulate off the compressor blades and so reduce off-line washing.

Efficiency and initial pressure drop by grade
- Er1, M6: Initial efficiency 30 % at 0.4 um; Average efficiency 0.4 um 60-80 %; Initial dP Pa, standard / deep 64 / 79
- Er2, F7: Initial efficiency 35 % at 0.4 um; Average efficiency 0.4 um 80 % or more; Initial dP Pa, standard / deep 95 / 89
- Er2, F8: Initial efficiency 55 % at 0.4 um; Average efficiency 0.4 um 90 % or more; Initial dP Pa, standard / deep 102 / 115
- Er3, F9: Initial efficiency 70 % at 0.4 um; Average efficiency 0.4 um 95 % or more; Initial dP Pa, standard / deep 137 / 130
- Er4, E10: Initial efficiency over 85 % at MPPS; Average efficiency 0.4 um over 99 %; Initial dP Pa, standard / deep 164 / 163
- Er5, E11: Initial efficiency over 95 % at MPPS; Average efficiency 0.4 um over 99.9 %; Initial dP Pa, standard / deep 250 / 194
- Er5, E12: Initial efficiency over 99.5 % at MPPS; Average efficiency 0.4 um over 99.9 %; Initial dP Pa, standard / deep 337 / 300
- Er5, H13: Initial efficiency over 99.95 % at MPPS; Average efficiency 0.4 um over 99.95 %; Initial dP Pa, standard / deep 350 / 304
The initial pressure drop is quoted at 2,000 cfm for the standard panel and 2,500 cfm for the deep panel; values for the 440 mm panel are in the second figure of each pair.
Choosing between grades and depth
A higher efficiency grade costs more pressure drop, so pick the lowest grade that protects the compressor for the site: the data sheet shows the standard panel rising from 64 Pa for M6 to 350 Pa for H13 against a recommended final pressure drop of 625 Pa. The deep panel carries 29 m2 of media against 18 m2, which lowers the velocity through the media and extends life at the same airflow.
Donaldson cites higher power output and turbine availability, lower fuel and maintenance cost, and water and oil resistant media as the main benefits. Static panels are the right choice when the filter housing has no pulse-cleaning system; for pulse systems the cartridge types are the alternative. State grade, depth, frame and gasket on the order.

About brand
Donaldson is the American filtration company founded in Minnesota in 1915. It started when Frank Donaldson Sr. built an air cleaner for a tractor engine that kept failing in dusty fields. It is now headquartered in Bloomington, Minnesota, and makes filters and filtration systems for engines, hydraulics, compressed air and gases, dust collection and process liquids.
Seven Star LLC is an independent supplier in Muscat. We list Donaldson compressed air dryers and filters, gas filter housings, activated carbon adsorbers, hydraulic and fuel filtration and dust collectors, and supply them and their replacement elements in Oman and the GCC.

| Headquarters | Bloomington, Minnesota |
| Product families | Engine air and fuel filters, hydraulic and lube filters, compressed air and gas filters and dryers, dust collectors, process and sterile filtration |
Milestones
- 1915: Frank Donaldson Sr. builds an air cleaner for a tractor that kept failing in a dusty field; the family starts Donaldson Company in Minnesota.
- 1917: Air cleaners are supplied for artillery tractors.
- 1920s: Exhaust products are added after crop fires caused by engine sparks.
- 1974: Donaldson acquires Torit, the dust collector business.
- 2015: The company marks its 100th year.

Compressed air quality is set by ISO 8573-1 classes for particles, water and oil. A typical instrument air system uses a coarse filter and a fine coalescing filter before the dryer, an adsorption dryer for a low pressure dew point (for example -40 °C), and a dust filter after it. An activated carbon stage removes oil vapour where the air touches food or is breathed. Heatless dryers use some of the dry air to regenerate the desiccant, while heat-regenerated and zero-purge types save that air on larger systems.
Where Donaldson products are used
In Oman and the GCC, Donaldson filters and dryers are used for instrument and plant air in oil and gas, refining, power and desalination plants, for breathing air, in food and pharmaceutical production, on hydraulic systems and fuel storage, and in cement and bulk handling.
