Allen-Bradley 25B-E1P7N104 PowerFlex 525 0.75 kW AC Drive

Description

0.75 kW PowerFlex 525 on 525-600V AC three-phase, frame A

The Allen-Bradley 25B-E1P7N104 is a PowerFlex 525 AC drive for 525-600V AC three-phase supplies. Rated 1.0 Hp (0.75 kW) in normal duty, it delivers 1.7 A and is listed by Rockwell as frame A, IP20 NEMA / Open Type. No integral EMC filter is fitted.

Rockwell prints the neighbouring ratings in the 520-TD001 table. For 525 to 600V three-phase: 25B-E0P9N104 (0.4 kW, 0.9 A), 25B-E1P7N104 (0.75 kW, 1.7 A), 25B-E3P0N104 (1.5 kW, 3.0 A) and 25B-E4P2N104 (2.2 kW, 4.2 A), all frame A.

Reading the number: after the series (25A or 25B) comes the voltage code (V = 120V 1-phase, A = 240V 1-phase, B = 240V 3-phase, D = 480V 3-phase, E = 600V 3-phase), then the current rating, N for IP20 open enclosure and the emission-class digit.

Common DC bus and ride-through

The 520-series is optimised for common or shared DC bus installations: configurable precharge control through digital inputs and a direct DC-bus connection at the power terminals. A selectable half-line-voltage mode lets the drive keep running during brown-outs, with extended inertia ride-through for low-voltage events.

A relay precharge limits inrush current, and a removable MOV to ground supports ungrounded distribution systems.

Typical use and selection notes

The 600V class (525 to 600V supply) is mainly for installations with 575V or 600V distribution. At 0.75 kW and 1.7 A this is a small-motor rating, still in frame A. Most Gulf plants run 400V, so treat this as a specialist part and confirm the plant voltage and motor nameplate before quoting it.

Input current is 2.3 A. The IEC table lists catalog fuses of only 3 A to 6 A, a 100-C09 or 100-E09 contactor, and a 140M-C2E-B25 or 140MT-C3E-B25 breaker, with Class CC, J or T fuses up to 6 A in the UL table.

Ordering and documents

Quote the complete catalog number 25B-E1P7N104 and confirm the supply voltage, the motor nameplate current and the filter version first. None of the optional cards or kits are included. Technical data on this page comes from Rockwell publication 520-TD001 (September 2025 edition). Supply is quoted per request by Seven Star LLC, an independent supplier in Muscat, and all figures should be confirmed with Rockwell before ordering.

A short checklist helps when asking about 25B-E1P7N104: motor power and current, supply voltage, required enclosure, expected ambient temperature, control wiring or network (digital inputs, analog reference or fieldbus) and any braking requirement. We can then compare your needs with the listed ratings (PowerFlex 525 0.75 kW (1.0 Hp) AC drive, 525-600V AC three-phase, 1.7 A, frame A) and tell you what is still missing.

About brand

Allen-Bradley is the brand of Rockwell Automation for industrial control: ControlLogix and CompactLogix controllers, I/O systems, PanelView operator terminals, PowerFlex drives, motor control and industrial network equipment. The company began in Milwaukee in 1903, when Lynde Bradley and Dr. Stanton Allen formed the Compression Rheostat Company to make the motor speed controller Bradley had invented in 1901. It took the name Allen-Bradley in 1909 and was bought by Rockwell International in 1985. Since 2001 its owner has been Rockwell Automation, which is still headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Allen-Bradley company profile

Milestones

  • 1901: Lynde Bradley invents the compression rheostat to control the speed of electric motors.
  • 1903: The Compression Rheostat Company is formed in Milwaukee with an initial investment of USD 1,000.
  • 1904: Harry Bradley joins; a crane controller is shown at the St. Louis World's Fair.
  • 1909: The company is renamed Allen-Bradley.
  • 1985: Rockwell International acquires Allen-Bradley.
  • 2001: Rockwell Automation becomes the company's name; the Allen-Bradley brand marks 100 years in 2003.

Reading Allen-Bradley catalogue numbers

The first digits of an Allen-Bradley catalogue number identify the platform, which tells you what is compatible with what. 1756 is ControlLogix (chassis-based, used for large process and plant control), 1769 is CompactLogix 5370 with Compact I/O, 5069 is CompactLogix 5380 with Compact 5000 I/O, 1734 is POINT I/O, 1794 and 5094 are FLEX and FLEX 5000 distributed I/O, 1746 and 1747 belong to the older SLC 500 family, 1766 is MicroLogix 1400 and 2080 is Micro800. For drives, 25B is PowerFlex 525 and 22B is PowerFlex 40; in a code such as 25B-D010N114, "D" means 380–480 V, "010" is the output current rating, and N114 instead of N104 means the drive has an integrated EMC filter. Many plants in the region still run SLC 500 and older MicroLogix systems, which Rockwell has discontinued, so exact spares and migration to CompactLogix are both common requests.

Where Allen-Bradley products are used

In Oman and the GCC, Allen-Bradley controllers and drives run on oil and gas facilities, water treatment and pumping stations, cement, food and beverage and packaging plants, and on machines supplied by American OEMs. ControlLogix is often the platform for plant control systems, while PowerFlex drives are used on pumps, fans and conveyors.

Ordering Allen-Bradley products: what we need

Send the full catalogue number and the series letter from the label (for example 1756-EN2T Series D), because firmware and compatibility can change between series. For drives, add the motor power, voltage and filter option. For a discontinued SLC 500 or MicroLogix part, tell us whether you need the exact spare or a migration proposal.
