Lenze EVS9322-ES 9300 Servo Inverter 0.75 kW

Description

9300 servo inverter, 0.75 kW

Lenze EVS9322-ES is a built-in servo inverter that drives servo motors with resolver feedback and flexible I/O, built for 0.75 kW (1.0 hp) on 400 V. At 16 kHz it supplies 1.8 A. This is a legacy item, since Lenze files the 9300 under previous products. Everything below follows the system manual EDSVS9332S EN 6.0, 07/2013 for the 9300 servo inverter; check availability and version levels first.

Standards and operating conditions

Mains and DC feed: 320 to 440 V AC three-phase at 45 to 65 Hz, or 450 to 620 V DC. Housing: IP20, with IP41 for the push-through version. Cable: motor leads shorter than 50 m at 8 kHz without additional filters. Certification printed in the manual: CE (2006/95/EC, 2004/108/EG), cULus File No. E132659.

Reading the type code EVS9322-ES

Per the key, EVS marks the servo controller range and 9322 the 0.75 kW size on 400 V. The letter E is the built-in design, and S the servo inverter version. Suffixes would add a variant: V003 cold plate, V004 Safe Torque Off, V100 IT mains, V104 STO with IT mains.

Control terminals and feedback options

The manual lists two bipolar analog inputs and outputs, five freely assignable digital inputs, four digital outputs and a separate controller inhibit, all scanned every millisecond. Position and speed feedback enter through the resolver socket, an incremental encoder input at 500 kHz TTL and a frequency input, and a frequency output is available too. The AIF slot at X1 takes the communication modules the manual lists: LECOM-A/B, LECOM-B, LECOM-LI, LON, INTERBUS, INTERBUS Loop, PROFIBUS-DP and DeviceNet/CANopen.

The manual’s operating conditions give climatic class 3K3 for operation, 1K3 for storage and 2K3 for transport, pollution degree 2 and overvoltage category III below 2000 m. The motor thermal sensor is connected through a dedicated input for PTC or thermal contact, and the setpoint inputs offer a signal level of 5 V or 10 V. Together with a rated current of 2.5 A at 8 kHz these data define the use of the 0.75 kW size.

Accessory table entries for the 9322 size

Accessory codes in the manual: choke EZN3A1500H003, category C1 filter EZN3B1500H003, chopper EMB9352-E, resistor ERBD180R300W, push-through kit EJ0036 (cutout 82 x 350 mm); shield kits EZZ0015 and EZZ0016. Above +40 degrees C reduce the rated output current by 2.5% per degree, and by 5% per 1000 m above 1000 m site altitude.

Manual and quotation

The attached Lenze system manual covers ratings, mounting, wiring and commissioning for the whole 93xx range up to 75 kW. Related drives are listed in Servo Drives. Please state the part number, voltage, motor and feedback type, plus STO or IT-mains needs, when requesting a quote.

About brand

Lenze is the German drive and automation company for machine building: frequency inverters, servo inverters, motors and gearboxes, controllers and engineering software. Its history begins on 5 November 1947, when Hans Lenze took over Stahlkontor GmbH in Hameln from the Mannesmann group. The group is led by Lenze SE, an unlisted European company based in Aerzen near Hameln, and the Lenze family owns all of its shares.

Seven Star LLC is an independent supplier in Muscat. We list Lenze frequency and servo inverters, including current and earlier generations, for machine builders and maintenance teams in Oman and the GCC.

Milestones

  • 1947: Hans Lenze takes over Stahlkontor GmbH in Hameln on 5 November.
  • 1977: The first Lenze frequency inverter for three-phase AC motors is launched.
  • 1999: Lenze acquires AC Tech in the USA.
  • 2009: Lenze AG becomes Lenze SE.

Lenze product series

Current inverters on this site are the i500 family: the i510 compact frequency inverter, the i550 cabinet inverter and its i550 protec decentral version for mounting on the machine, and the i950 cabinet servo inverter. Earlier generations that are still widely installed are also listed: the 8400 StateLine C inverters (E84AVSC...), the 8200 vector frequency inverters (E82EV...) and the 9300 servo position controllers and servo inverters (EVS93...), including versions with Safe Torque Off.

Where Lenze drives are used

Conveyors and intralogistics, packaging and bottling lines, pumps and fans, hoists, textile and printing machines, and positioning axes on special machines. Many plants in the region keep 8200 vector and 9300 drives in service and need exact replacements or a planned migration to the i500 series.

Ordering Lenze inverters: what we need

Send the complete type code from the nameplate, for example E84AVSCE5524SX0, together with the supply voltage, motor power and current, the control interface or fieldbus module, and any options such as safety functions, keypad or brake resistor. When replacing an installed drive, keep the parameter set and wiring records, because a new unit or a successor model must be parameterised to match the machine.
