NOSHOK 3010/3110 3-Valve Differential Pressure Manifold

Description

Three-valve manifold for differential pressure transmitters

The NOSHOK 3010/3110 Series is a three-valve differential pressure manifold: two isolation valves and one equalizing valve in a single block, for use with differential pressure transmitters. The 3010 is the hard seat version and the 3110 is the soft seat version with a replaceable Acetal seat and straight-through porting for bidirectional, high capacity flow and easy roddable cleaning. It is offered in block, single flange or double flange connection for remote or direct installation.

Materials are zinc-nickel plated steel or electropolished 316 stainless steel; the datasheet states that all 316SS products meet NACE MR0175/ISO 15156-3 and that all NOSHOK valve products conform to MSS SP-99 instrument valve standards, with packed valves also conforming to MSS SP-132.

Order code explained

Example: 3110-MFC-PK1-P1-T1 means 3-valve, soft seat (1), differential pressure process type (1), 1/2 inch NPT or flange connection (0), flange-female steel body (MFC), PEEK soft seat (PK1), PTFE packing (P1) and non-rotating 316 stainless stem tip (T1). Only the options you need are added; the standard configuration needs no extras. If you choose a packing option, an o-ring option is not available.

Selection notes

  • Use hard seat (3010) for the highest pressure, 10,000 psi at 200 F, and soft seat (3110) where tight shut-off on clean fluids is wanted.
  • Select stainless steel for corrosive, sour or offshore service; steel is zinc-nickel plated.
  • Check temperature: the printed pressure ratings are at 200 F, and packing options lower the maximum rating to 6,000 psi; see the pressure versus temperature chart in the NOSHOK catalog.
  • Direct-mount flange versions bolt straight onto the transmitter, while block versions are for remote mounting.

Applications in Oman and the GCC

A three-valve manifold isolates a transmitter and lets technicians equalize both sides before zeroing or removing the instrument, without shutting down the line. It is used on orifice flow metering, differential pressure level and filter monitoring in oil and gas, power and water plants. In the GCC, specify the stainless steel version for offshore and coastal service.

Installing a manifold on a transmitter

A three-valve manifold is normally fitted with the isolate valves toward the process and the equalizing valve between the two sides. The datasheet drawings show two 1/4 inch NPT static test ports for calibration and a 1/2 inch NPT or flange process port. As a general practice, to zero a transmitter, close both isolate valves, open the equalizer, and read the transmitter output, which should be at its zero point. To return to service, close the equalizer first and then open the isolate valves. Following that order helps avoid exposing the transmitter to a single-sided overpressure. The colour coded dust caps (blue and green in the parts list) help technicians identify the valves, and the slotted spring pin prevents the bonnet from loosening. Torque and fitting practice should follow the maker instructions in the catalog, and the datasheet refers to a table of pressure against temperature for packing styles.

When you enquire about the 3010 or 3110 manifold, state hard or soft seat, steel or 316 stainless steel, the connection type and the working pressure up to the 10,000 psi at 200 F rating, so that the three-valve manifold can be configured from the datasheet.

Selection and installation notes

A three-valve manifold is fitted between the process impulse lines and the differential pressure transmitter. Confirm the connection type, the pressure rating and the body material, and choose the hard or soft seat version for the service. Open and close the valves in the order given in the instructions, equalise before isolating, and never leave the equalizing valve open during normal operation.

Information needed for a quotation

Send the full model code, the quantity, the delivery location in Oman or the GCC, the intended use and any accessories needed, so that the complete package can be quoted together.

Documents and supply information

The manufacturer data sheet is attached to this page and should be read together with the project specification and the site risk assessment before a purchase is confirmed. Ratings, standards and dimensions are quoted as printed on that sheet. Lead time, stock position and certificates available with the shipment are confirmed in the quotation, and we supply to Oman and the wider GCC region for industrial, utility and building services projects.

About brand

NOSHOK is an American manufacturer of pressure, temperature and flow instruments, established in 1967 and based in Berea, Ohio. It was one of the first companies to offer liquid-filled pressure gauges, introduced a troubleshooter pointer and stainless steel connections on its gauges, and has offered a three-year gauge warranty since 1973. In 2019 NOSHOK acquired King Engineering, maker of KING-GAGE.

Seven Star LLC is an independent supplier in Muscat. We list NOSHOK gauges, transmitters and valves for oil and gas, water and process users in Oman and the GCC.
