The XtremeStack is tailored to grid | Xtreme VR batteries in their top-terminal versions. Blocks stand upright and gap-free on separate intermediate layers, which the data sheet says cuts the space requirement by up to 60 percent against conventional battery racks. Because the case plastic carries the weight of the blocks above, the safeguard-tec option is not needed.

Ordering logic: base frame first, then sections

The data sheet covers VR12-80, 12-110, 12-130, 12-150 and 12-170 batteries in 1-row and 2-row form. For the 12-110 the levels available are 4, 5 and 6, so 8×5 means 8 blocks per row and 5 levels. Always start a row with a Base Frame and connect Full or Half Sections laterally.

Check the floor load before choosing: the table gives load per base plate, and the manual requires a level, load-bearing, vibration-free floor.

Assembly notes from the manual

The system is a plug-in frame that must also be bolted with the supplied fastening screws, and wall fasteners must be fitted before loading. Floor parts are screwed together with M8 x 110 bolts at 13 Nm, side sections with M8 x 65 bolts, and all screws, nuts and front openings are covered with caps afterwards.

Two people are recommended for assembly. Use insulated cables and connectors per EN 62485-2, fix a protective-insulation notice, and keep room temperature between 20 °C and 25 °C with ventilation and no ignition sources near cell openings. A raising set is needed only for VR12-170 8×5.

UPS and standby battery rooms

Typical use is a UPS or DC standby battery where floor area is costly. General engineering note: in Gulf data halls and switchgear buildings, stacked racks let a battery fit a small room, but the point loads in the table should be checked against the slab before ordering.
