Caprari NMC and NMCS Monobloc EN 733 Pumps, DN32 to DN150
Description
Monobloc EN 733 pumps for HVAC, boosters and industry
The Caprari NMC and NMCS are horizontal-axis monobloc centrifugal electric pumps with main features and dimensions according to EN 733 (DIN 2455), with an additional 80/400 size to complete the range. The NMC has an integral motor pump shaft; the NMCS has an extended pump shaft, a bearing that absorbs the axial thrust and a standardised motor. The catalogue (code 998913A/11-25, 56 pages) covers delivery ports DN32 to DN150 for 2-pole and 4-pole 50 Hz motors.
Listed uses are heating and air-conditioning, industry, civil applications, booster sets and irrigation. The pumped liquid is clean fresh water of non-aggressive chemical and mechanical nature, up to 140 C.

Selection, ordering and installation
The code reads series NMC or NMCS, nominal diameter, impeller trimming letter, motor type and supply code. Examples printed: NMCS32D+C40075T211 and NMCS40A+C40220T211, where the C-code distinguishes the motor (C2 single-phase IE2, C3 three-phase IE3, C4 three-phase IE4), followed by nominal power and the pole, voltage and generation digits. Choose NMC where the motor and pump share one integral shaft and NMCS where a standardised motor and a separate thrust bearing are wanted. Keep to the stated start limit and the 140 C ceiling, and use the inverter-on-board option where speed control is needed.
Applications in GCC industries
Chilled-water and hot-water circulation in building services, pressure boosting, industrial utility water and farm irrigation are the catalogue uses. The standard parts are cast iron and brass, so for seawater or brine ask for the bronze or full bronze version. The catalogue prints no ATEX, fire-pump or drinking-water approval for this series, so none is claimed.
Reading the printed limits
The motor data in the catalogue is specific. The motor is three-phase or single-phase asynchronous with a squirrel-cage rotor, IP55 and class F insulation, with 230/400 V up to 3 kW and 400/690 V above 3 kW at 50 Hz. The NMC pump stub shaft is integral with the motor shaft, which removes the coupling and the alignment step during installation, while the NMCS uses a standard motor with a separate bearing for the axial thrust. The maximum number of starts per hour runs from 3 to 51 depending on motor power, which sets the limit for frequent-start duties.
The catalogue also prints the performance tolerance, UNI/ISO 9906 Grade 3B, measured on cold water at 15 C and 1 bar, and notes that data refer to liquids with a density of 1 kg/dm3 and a kinematic viscosity up to 1 mm2/s. Warmer or thicker liquids need a correction.
Selection and installation notes
Select a pump from the duty point: the flow, the head, the liquid and its temperature, the supply voltage and the expected operating hours. Check the electrical supply and cable size against the motor rating, install the pump as the manual shows on a firm base with pipework that does not strain the ports, protect the motor against overload and dry running, and fit non-return and isolation valves in the delivery line. Keep the installation and commissioning record, and plan routine inspection of seals, bearings and wear parts.
Information needed for a quotation
Send the full model code, the quantity, the delivery location in Oman or the GCC, the intended use and any accessories needed, so that the complete package can be quoted together.
Documents and supply information
The manufacturer data sheet is attached to this page and should be read together with the project specification and the site risk assessment before a purchase is confirmed. Ratings, standards and dimensions are quoted as printed on that sheet. Lead time, stock position and certificates available with the shipment are confirmed in the quotation, and we supply to Oman and the wider GCC region for industrial, utility and building services projects.

About brand
Caprari is an Italian pump manufacturer, founded in 1945 by Amadio Caprari as Idromeccanica Caprari and headquartered in Modena. By 1950 it was building vertical lineshaft pumps, in 1968 it produced its first submersible deep-well pump, and from the 1970s it opened subsidiaries abroad. The Italian investment firm Ambienta acquired Caprari in February 2021.
