Brand:

Blue-White C3 CHEM-FEED High-Output Diaphragm Dosing Pump

Description

C3 is the high-output pump of the Blue-White CHEM-FEED C-series, delivering 0.99 to 154 litres per hour (0.262 to 40.6 GPH) in a PVDF-wetted pump with diaphragm rupture sensing. It shares the housing and control options of the C2 but moves about 2.5 times more fluid at maximum (derived: 154 LPH versus 62.5 LPH), so it is the choice for larger dosing duties at pressures up to 10.3 bar.

When a C2 is too small: the larger CHEM-FEED diaphragm pump

Only two stroke settings are offered on the C3 and both use the large diaphragm: a 0.060 in (1.52 mm) stroke for 0.262 to 26.2 GPH at 150 psi, and a 0.100 in (2.54 mm) stroke for 0.406 to 40.6 GPH at 100 psi. The relationship is simple: more stroke means more flow but a lower pressure limit, so duty pressure should decide the cam.

The diaphragm is driven through a mechanical cam by a brushed DC motor, up to 130 strokes per minute, and the speed can be turned down 100:1. As on the C2, model F is the local-control version (manual speed, remote start/stop, DFD/FVS alarm relay) and model V is the automatic version, adding analogue 4-20 mA in and out, frequency and pulse-batch input and a motor-active signal.

Selection and ordering guide

The code is C3 [F or V] [voltage] [cam 1 or 2] [electrical X or A] [elastomer V or E] [fitting A-F] [diaphragm], for example C3F2441XVA in the datasheet sample style. Voltage digits 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 pick NEMA 5/15 115 V, NEMA 6/15 230 V, CEE 7/VII 220 V, AS 3112 240 V and BS 1363 230 V cords. Electrical X goes with the F series and A with the V series. Elastomer letter V means TFE/P and E means EP.

Fitting letters A, B, C, E and F give 1/2 in hose barb or NPT connections with a 1/2 in injection fitting; unlike the C2 there is no 3/8 in tube-compression option listed. Because tubing is not provided, add the 1/2 in ID suction and braided discharge tubing from the accessory list.

Installation and operation notes

Mount the pump near the tank, injection point and power outlet; the 316 stainless-steel brackets are included and bracket set 72000-380 raises the unit by 4.5 in. Keep lines short; the manual calls for a check valve against back-flow at the pump discharge and recommends a relief valve there too.

Follow the wiring tables for the 4-20 mA and relay terminals, keep signal wiring away from AC power conductors, and use the prime function of the pump so the head is filled before automatic control is enabled.

Applications in Oman and the GCC

At up to 40.6 GPH the C3 serves duties such as hypochlorite dosing at larger cooling-water circuits, caustic or acid trim in neutralisation systems, coagulant feed at filtration plants and scale-inhibitor dosing on RO and desalination feed lines. The 6.8 to 10.3 bar range allows injection into pressurised process headers.

For Gulf installations, the sheet limits ambient to 46 C and fluid to 54 C, so shaded plant rooms or ventilated enclosures are appropriate for outdoor skids.

Compatible accessories and related items

The C3 accessory list names a KIT-PSM HDPE wall bracket, clear PVC suction tubing 76001-361 and braided PVC discharge tubing 75000-342 (both 1/2 in ID, 8 ft), custom-length discharge tubing 90008-437, and replacement ball-check cartridges in Hastelloy balls (20000-228), PTFE balls (20000-229) or single ceramic ball with Hastelloy spring (70001-409, two needed).
