Brand:

Yokogawa µR20000 Pen and Dot Chart Recorder, 180 mm

Description

A compact 180 mm chart recorder with pen and dot models

The Yokogawa µR20000 is a panel-mounted chart recorder with a 180 mm recording width, built for processes where a permanent paper record is still required: furnaces, heat-treatment, refrigeration, environmental monitoring, construction and quality control. The family covers 1, 2, 3 and 4 pen models for continuous recording of each channel, and 6, 12, 18 and 24 dot models for up to 24 channels on one chart. The dot models print at up to 6 dots every 10 seconds (6 channels), 12 dots per 15 s, 18 dots per 20 s and 24 dots per 30 s.

Every input is universal, so each channel can be set to DC voltage, thermocouple, RTD, contact or voltage digital input, or DC current through an external shunt resistor.

Display, recording and options

A 181 x 16 dot VFD shows multi-channel digital values, bar graphs, flags, DI/DO status and date and time. The chart is plain-paper Z-fold (20 m), with chart speeds of 5 to 12000 mm/h on pen models and 1 to 1500 mm/h on dot models, and speed accuracy within plus or minus 0.1 percent. With the SD memory card option (/EM1), measured data can be saved to a card while recording on paper, and on dot models saved data can be replayed on chart paper. Alarm printout, message printout, listings of settings and alarm types are included, and the pens use disposable felt cartridges.

Typical accuracies are 0.04 percent of reading + 0.2 C for Pt100, 0.05 percent of reading + 0.4 C for type J (0 to 1100 C) and 0.03 percent of reading + 1 digit on the 60 mV and 6 V ranges, under reference conditions listed in the datasheet.

Selection and installation

The case is 288 x 288 x 220 mm for flush panel mounting (panel thickness 2 to 26 mm), vertical or inclined up to 30 degrees on a horizontal base, with a splash and dust-proof door to DIN 40050 (IP54). Weight is about 7.8 kg for the pen models and 8.4 to 9.0 kg for the dot models. Supply is 100 to 240 V AC (90 to 264 V AC usable), 50/60 Hz, with maximum consumption of 55 VA, and ambient operating temperature is 0 to 50 C. Confirm the number of channels, pen or dot style, alarm and remote-control I/O, SD card option and the spare chart and pen supply for your site.

About brand

Yokogawa is the Japanese measurement and industrial automation company behind the DPharp EJA and EJX pressure transmitters, CENTUM distributed control systems and ProSafe-RS safety systems. Tamisuke Yokogawa set it up in 1915 as an electric meter research institute in Shibuya, Tokyo. It began selling electric meters in 1917, was incorporated as Yokogawa Electric Works in 1920, and has been Yokogawa Electric Corporation since 1986. In 1975 it released CENTUM, which it describes as the world's first distributed control system.

Seven Star LLC is an independent supplier in Muscat. We list Yokogawa transmitters, flowmeters, analysers, controllers, recorders and CENTUM and ProSafe spare modules, and supply them to oil and gas, power, water and process plants in Oman and the GCC by model code.

The EJA and EJX transmitters use Yokogawa's DPharp sensor: two silicon resonators whose vibration frequency changes with pressure, so the output is a digital frequency rather than an analogue strain signal. The model code describes the instrument completely. In EJA110E, "110" is a differential pressure transmitter, and the letters after the dash set the span, wetted materials, process connection, electrical output and approvals. When you replace a transmitter, sending the full code from the nameplate avoids a mismatch in range or materials.

Where Yokogawa products are used

In Oman and the GCC, Yokogawa transmitters, analysers and control systems are found in oil and gas production, gas processing and LNG, refineries and petrochemical plants, power and desalination stations, and water treatment. Many plants still run CENTUM CS 3000 and CENTUM VP systems that need spare I/O modules and batteries.

Ordering Yokogawa products: what we need

Send the full model and suffix code from the nameplate (for example EJA110E-JMS5J-912NN/KF22) and the style code. For DCS modules, add the module type and system version. For analysers, send the sensor type, measuring range and process conditions.
