Task Force Tips UE-250-NJ 250 GPM In-Line Foam Eductor
Description
The Task Force Tips UE-250-NJ is a 250 gpm (950 L/min) in-line foam eductor from the 350 Series, with a 2.5 in (65 mm) NH full-time swivel rocker lug inlet and a 2.5 in NH rigid male outlet. It is the larger master-stream-class eductor: where the 125 Series serves hand lines, this body feeds a monitor or a 2.5 in line and proportions foam at 1/2%, 1%, 3% or 6%.
TFT states a flow capability of 250 gpm at 200 psi (14 bar) inlet pressure and a maximum allowable back pressure of 130 psi (9 bar). The body is hardcoat-anodized aluminum for corrosion and wear resistance, and the unit weighs 15 lb on the product page.

Foam compatibility and back pressure
The 350 Series can be used with 1/2% Class A, with high-viscosity 1%, 3%, 6%, 3×3% and 3×6% alcohol-resistant Class B concentrates, and with synthetic fluorine-free foams. The foam used for the calibration was an AR-AFFF at 2500 centipoise tested on a 50 ft hose. A Go/No-Go gauge on the outlet shows whether back pressure is acceptable: add nozzle pressure, hose friction loss, any monitor loss and the elevation loss together; if the sum exceeds 130 psi (80 psi on the low-pressure 150 psi version) the eductor will not work. The low-pressure 150 psi version is compatible only with 55 psi (4 bar) nozzles.
Selection and ordering guide
Inlet couplings must be specified at the time of order. UE-250-NJ is the 250 gpm size with 2.5 in NH; the manual describes the same series in other flows (up to 350 gpm) and lists compatibility with the Max-Force, Max-Matic and Max-Flow nozzle families at 100 to 500 gpm using the FJ-MX-MD multi-expansion attachment. Because the eductor works with any nozzle at or above its gallonage, pick the nozzle against the 250 gpm rating. The intake hose is shipped with the unit; a high UV resistant black hose (UE940) and a 1.5 in camlock adaptor kit (UE960-KIT) are separate parts named in the manual.
Installation and operation notes
Four tapped holes in the eductor body allow permanent mounting, with bolts engaging at least 1/2 in. Set the pump to deliver 200 psi at the inlet, turn the knob to a detent (the unit does not work between positions), and place the intake hose in the foam supply. Never intermix metering heads and bodies of different flow ratings. After use, reduce pressure below 75 psi, restrain the hose, backflush each setting, then split the unit at the locking ring and wash the foam passages. Salt water needs the foam maker’s approval and thorough rinsing with fresh water.
Applications in GCC industry
A 250 gpm eductor suits portable foam monitors and 2.5 in lines at tank farms, fuel terminals and loading racks, and as a standby foam source for contractor fire crews where a fixed foam skid is not available. The fresh-water rinse routine matters in humid coastal sites, where foam residue can clog the metering orifices.
Installation and selection notes
The 250 gpm eductor works correctly only with a nozzle whose flow matches its rating, and the back pressure must stay below the stated limit. Select the foam concentrate, set the percentage, flush the unit after use and keep it free of dried concentrate. Check the inlet pressure at the pump or hydrant before operating.
Information needed for a quotation
Send the full model code, the quantity, the delivery location in Oman or the GCC, the intended use and any hoses, couplings or accessories needed, so that the complete package can be quoted together.
Documents and supply information
The manufacturer data sheet is attached to this page and should be read together with the project specification before a purchase is confirmed. Ratings, flows, pressures and dimensions are quoted as printed on that sheet. Lead time, stock position and certificates available with the shipment are confirmed in the quotation, and we supply to Oman and the wider GCC region for industrial, utility and building services projects.

About brand
Task Force Tips is an American manufacturer of firefighting nozzles, monitors and water flow equipment, based in Valparaiso, Indiana. It was started in the early 1970s by firefighter Clyde McMillan, who sketched the first automatic nozzle in 1968; its spring-loaded baffle keeps nozzle pressure steady as flow changes. After his death in 1982, his son Stewart McMillan became president and renamed the company Task Force Tips.
Seven Star LLC is an independent supplier in Muscat. We list TFT products with the manual attached, for refinery, tank farm, plant fire brigade and civil defence buyers in Oman and the GCC.
