A spin-on filter for suction, return and low pressure lines
The MP Filtri MPS is a range of spin-on filters used in suction, return and low pressure lines. MP Filtri describes them as a good balance between performance, dimensions and price, which makes the MPS a common choice for economic industrial equipment and mobile machines. The filters are connected to the line through female threaded or flanged ports up to 1 1/2 inch, and handle up to 365 l/min at a maximum working pressure of 1.2 MPa (12 bar).
The CS spin-on can is simple to replace: unscrew the used can and fit a new one. Models run from MPS 050 to MPS 351 across several can sizes.

Using the MPS in suction, return and pressure lines
The same housing family serves three positions, and the bypass setting follows the application: 1.75 bar for in-line and return filters, 0.3 bar for suction filters, so suction versions open early to protect the pump from starvation. In a suction line, keep the pressure drop low and use a vacuum indicator. In a return line, keep the outlet under the oil. In a low pressure delivery line, fit a differential indicator.
The CW water-removal element takes out free water, and the double-can fitting carries two cans to extend the change interval. Because the can is a standard spin-on, European and American elements can be fitted through the double connection.
Element media follow the application. Inorganic microfiber elements carry the finer ratings of 3, 6, 10, 16 and 25 micron, resin impregnated paper offers a 25 micron economical element, and wire mesh suits coarse protection and cleaning. The CS element has a collapse differential of 5 bar, which is lower than larger housings, so do not run a clogged element for long. Replace it when the indicator signals, then fit the new can to the head by hand with a lightly oiled seal, following the instructions printed on the can.

MP Filtri product series
