Operating Principle

As a two-stage helical unit, the H2SV 09 reduces input speed through two sets of case-hardened, ground helical gear teeth, delivering a rigid, low-noise, low-vibration power transmission path suited to continuous industrial operation. The unit uses splash lubrication as standard, where all teeth and bearings are submerged in oil, with an oil-equalizing tank to accommodate thermal expansion of the oil volume as the unit heats up under load.

This specific configuration is supplied with a cooling coil using water circulation to remove heat from the oil sump, an important addition for gear units operating at high duty cycles or in hot ambient conditions typical of Gulf industrial sites, where air-only cooling may not be sufficient to keep oil temperature within safe limits.
