EBRO RSK Wafer Type Check Valve DN 32 to DN 600

Description

A wafer check valve that stays thin between flanges

The RSK is EBRO’s wafer type check valve for pipelines where installation length is tight. The data sheet gives nominal sizes from DN 32 to DN 600, flange accommodation to EN 1092 PN 10/16 and ASME Class 150, and a face-to-face length defined by an EBRO works standard rather than by EN 558. The valve is centred over the outside diameter of the body, sealed with O-rings, and fitted with a holder eye that helps lift and centre it while the flanges are pulled together.

One series covers many materials. The body and disc are combined into numbered types, from aluminium and stainless steel to PVC, PP, PVDF, Hastelloy C4 and aluminium bronze, and every construction is available in a spring-returned version for pulsating or resonant flow conditions.

Dimensions and weights

The outer diameter A, the building length B for the plastic version without spring, and the dimensions C, D and G come from the data sheet drawing. Metal versions with a manual emergency switch or spring show longer B values in the full table, so request the complete sheet for those variants.

Flow, Kv value and opening pressure

The pressure loss diagram in the data sheet refers to water at 20 °C. The table below keeps the metal-version Kv value and the minimum opening pressure in millibar for the four flow cases: without and with spring, horizontal and vertical flow.

DN Kv (m3/h) No spring, horizontal (mbar) Spring, horizontal (mbar) No spring, vertical (mbar) Spring, vertical (mbar)
32 16.2 2 15 10 25
50 54 2 15 10 25
80 112 2 15 10 25
100 172 2 15 10 25
150 490 2 15 10 25
200 1128 4 17 14 25
300 2290 4 17 14 25
400 3700 6 18 18 28
500 6550 6 18 24 34
600 9500 6 18 26 36

Reading the table, the spring adds roughly 13 mbar of opening pressure to horizontal flow in the smaller sizes (2 to 15 mbar), so a spring-returned valve needs more differential pressure to open. This is a derived comparison, not a datasheet statement.

Installation points from the data sheet

  • Keep at least 0.3 bar of back pressure so that the swing check closes tight.
  • Do not mount the valve directly on a pump flange. If a bend follows the valve, the smoothing section should not be shorter than 5 x DN.
  • The valve can be installed in any desired position; vertical and horizontal flow both have printed opening pressures.
  • Materials can be changed among each other, and the holder eye acts as an installation aid.

Where the RSK is used

Check valves of this type protect pumps and prevent reverse flow in water, chemical and process pipework. The material range lets a buyer match the medium: PVC or PP for corrosive but cool liquids, PVDF or Hastelloy C4 for aggressive chemicals, and aluminium bronze for seawater-type duties. The data sheet does not list application sectors for the RSK, so those pairings are general engineering guidance and the medium should always be confirmed.

Information to send with an RFQ for the EBRO RSK Wafer Type Check Valve DN 32 to DN 600

Valve quotations depend on the service conditions as much as on the size. For the EBRO RSK Wafer Type Check Valve DN 32 to DN 600, list the nominal size, pressure class, end connection or flange standard, and the medium with its temperature and pressure range. State the required body, seat and seal materials if a specification already exists.

  • Quantity and tag numbers, if the valves belong to a project line list.
  • Operation: lever, gearbox, pneumatic or electric actuator, with any accessories such as limit switches or positioners.
  • Test and certificate requirements, for example material certificates or pressure test reports.
  • Required delivery date and site location in Oman or the wider GCC.

Sending the valve data sheet or line specification lets the configuration be checked before ordering and reduces the risk of receiving a valve that does not match the piping class.

About brand

EBRO ARMATUREN is a German manufacturer of industrial valves, actuators and automation technology, headquartered in Hagen and part of the Bröer Group. The company has built butterfly valves since 1970 and has developed and produced its own pneumatic and electric actuators since 1985, so valve and drive are matched within one product family.

Seven Star LLC is an independent supplier in Muscat. We list EBRO valves and actuators for water, power and process users in Oman and the GCC.

EBRO ARMATUREN product series

Butterfly valves include the Z 611-A split-body wafer valve, the T 211-A PTFE-lined wafer valve for corrosive media and the F 012-A double-flanged valve for DN 50 to 1400. The V-3MH is a three-piece stainless steel ball valve and the RSK a wafer check valve for DN 32 to 600.

Actuation includes the SC double-acting pneumatic linear actuators, the E 50 to E 210 electric part-turn actuators and the MS3 electric control drive with IO-Link, plus the EP3 electro-pneumatic positioner with IO-Link and SVD, SVS and SVF NAMUR solenoid pilot valves.

Where EBRO valves are used

Water and wastewater, energy, chemical plants, bulk solids handling, food and beverage and pulp and paper. EBRO reports a branch in Dubai, opened in 2009, serving the region.
