01800.0-00 is the STEGO FF 018 size 1 filter fan in its 230 V, 50 Hz version. It draws 13 W, blows 21 m3/h of filtered outside air into an enclosure (16 m3/h with an exit filter fitted), carries an IP54 rating and a G4 filter mat, and fits a 97 x 97 mm panel cut-out.

A small filter fan that keeps enclosure air moving with filtered air

A filter fan lowers the temperature inside a control cabinet by bringing in cooler, filtered outside air and letting warmer inside air leave through an exit filter. FF 018 is the smallest filter-fan size in the STEGO range for 92 x 92 mm cut-outs, with only 21 m3/h free blowing. It suits small enclosures with low dissipated power. For more air, STEGO lists the Filter Fan Plus FPI 018 series (see related items), whose size 1 version moves 19 m3/h but adds an air-flap outlet filter and a hose-proof hood option.

As general practice, estimate the heat to be removed and the allowed temperature rise, then choose the airflow with the exit filter fitted, since that figure (16 m3/h here) is the one that applies in service. Confirm both values on the datasheet before ordering.

Installation and operation notes

Fit the fan in a 97 x 97 mm cut-out; the drill-hole spacing is 109 mm and the installation depth only 45 mm, so it suits shallow doors. Connect the two 100 mm stranded wires with the 2.5 mm2 pressure clamps, and replace the filter mat from the 08600.0-00 bag when it clogs. Place the exit filter on the opposite side of the enclosure from the fan to keep the airflow path through the equipment.

The datasheet limits the operating temperature to -10 to +70 C and states IP54, so protection against water jets or dust-laden washdown needs another solution. Always read the datasheet note that the customer must verify suitability for the application.
