Alicat P-100PSIG Pressure Meter 100 PSIG Gauge

The Alicat P-100PSIG is a P-Series digital pressure meter with a 100 PSI gauge full scale. The sheet gives the default 1/8 inch NPT female process connection, a body of 2.38 x 1.05 x 4.07 inches and a weight of about 1.0 lb (0.5 kg).

A pressure gauge that talks Modbus

The P-Series replaces an analog gauge with a monochrome LCD or colour TFT display, an on-board touchpad and a choice of serial and fieldbus outputs. Standard accuracy is 0.25 % of full scale, or 0.125 % with the high-accuracy option, and repeatability is 0.08 % of full scale across a 0.5 to 100 % range.

The sensor responds in under 1 ms, the indication in under 10 ms and the unit is ready after under 1 s, so it is also used to log fast pressure transients. Burst pressure is three times full scale for ranges up to 100 PSI.

The P-Series is available as absolute, gauge or differential from 2 inH2O to 3000 PSI; this item is the 100 PSI gauge range. The PS-Series uses 316L stainless steel and FFKM for corrosive gases and liquids, which the P-Series does not cover.

P-Series wetted parts suit non-corrosive gases; check the materials table before using it on other media, and state the display type and communication option on the order.

A digital gauge can be paired with a controller in the same loop: the P-Series shares its communication options, connectors and display style with the PC-Series, so a plant that standardises on one connector and one Modbus map can mix meters and controllers on the same bus. For absolute-pressure versions, remember the sheet says tare is available only with the optional barometer package, which matters if you later swap the gauge range for a PSIA unit.

Installation and operation notes

The Alicat P-Series manual describes mounting by two 8-32 holes or by the process port, with orientation having no effect except that absolute devices need an optional barometer package for tare. Use a suggested filter of about 40 microns where debris could block the port.

Tare at atmospheric pressure before use, keep the pressure within the 200 PSIG common-mode limit and avoid rapid transients above the sensor rating.
