Within the DHO900 range, the Rigol DHO924S is the top bandwidth model with the extras fitted. It offers 250 MHz on four analog channels, 12-bit resolution, up to 50 Mpts of memory and 16 digital inputs once a PLA2216 logic probe is added. The letter S marks the two options other DHO900 models lack: a single-channel 25 MHz arbitrary function generator (AFG) and Bode plot analysis.

DHO900 order codes

The data sheet lists four codes: DHO914 and DHO914S (125 MHz) and DHO924 and DHO924S (250 MHz). Choose the S version only if you need the AFG output and Bode plot, since the plain models omit both. The DHO924 and DHO924S ship with four PVP2350 probes; the 125 MHz models ship with PVP3150.

Digital channel and option notes

Digital channels do not support slow-sweep or roll mode. A PLA2216 probe is purchased separately. Options are ordered against the instrument serial number; RIGOL then issues a license file that is installed from a USB stick or by SCPI command.

Where it fits in Gulf plants and labs

Controls engineers debugging PLC, VFD and protection-relay boards can view analog sensor signals alongside logic lines, and use the AFG to inject a test signal or the Bode plot to check a filter or loop. Like other DHO models it is a CAT I, 0 to 50 degC bench instrument.
