Caprari D-M Series Submersible Drainage and Sewage Pumps

Description

One catalogue for dewatering, rainwater and screened sewage

The Caprari D-M Series is a family of electric, vertical, close-coupled submersible pumps for 50 Hz supply. The catalogue (code 996913/07-25) joins eight sub-ranges: the D pumps (DA, DM, DR, DX and DW) for clean or slightly dirty water without fibres, and the M pumps (MG, MS, MS.T and MX) with wider free passage for screened wastewater. Caprari describes the choice as running from light domestic pumps that are easy to carry to heavy-duty work-site pumps, and all pumps are stated to comply with the pertinent European Directives.

Operation is simple: connect the power cable to the electrical control and protection equipment and the delivery hose or pipe to the pump outlet. The D series can handle clean or slightly dirty, non-aggressive water with no fibres or filaments that might clog the strainer slots or the impeller. The M series has wider ball passages and carries screened wastewater with larger solids, the permissible size depending on the available ball passage. The MS.T series adds a treated stainless steel grinder that reduces coarse and fibrous solids into small fragments.

Common to the sub-series: 2-pole induction motor at 50 Hz (about 2,900 rpm), insulation class F, IP68 for continuous immersion, and construction in accordance with EN 60034-1, EN 60335-1 and EN 60335-2-41 where the catalogue prints those standards (confirmed for DA, DM and MX).

Pump coding, options and materials

Model codes follow one logic. For example DACR032D10+000521M1/G reads DA series, C for 50 Hz, R for open impeller, 032 for delivery DN, D for flanged or threaded delivery, 10 for total head in metres indoors, 0005 for nominal power in kW (0.5 kW), 2 poles, supply voltage code 1, M for single-phase (T for three-phase), generational code 1, and /G for fitted with float. Nominal powers across the listed models run from about 0.3 kW to 11 kW, derived from the coded model lists.

On the DA, the catalogue lists cast iron pump casing and impeller, alumina/carbon/rubber mechanical seals on pump and motor side, a stainless steel shaft, filter and motor shroud, and a polypropylene or stainless handle, with stainless steel screws and nuts. Special executions on request include other voltages, another mechanical seal, a different cable length, a motor suitable for frequency converter operation and single-phase versions without a float.

Choosing a sub-series

For rainwater pits and flooded basements with clean water, the DM or DA are the light options; for construction sites and abrasive water the DR with its 20 m immersion rating and wear plate is the heavy duty choice. The stainless DX and AISI 316 DW models are the corrosion-resistant range; the catalogue lists clean or slightly dirty water as their liquid, so confirm any other medium with Caprari. For wastewater, use the free-flow vortex models when long fibres are present, the grinder MS.T when a small bore discharge pipe is required, and the MG, MS and MX models for larger solids.

The catalogue includes operating data, overall dimensions, weights and technical features for every model, so the final selection must use the page for the exact pump.

Selection and installation notes

Select a pump from the duty point: the flow, the head, the liquid and its temperature, the supply voltage and the expected operating hours. Check the electrical supply and cable size against the motor rating, install the pump as the manual shows, protect the motor against overload and dry running, and fit non-return and isolation valves in the delivery line. Keep the installation and commissioning record, and plan routine inspection of seals, bearings and wear parts.

For submersible drainage pumps, check the free passage against the solids in the liquid, use a stable base or guide rails, keep the float switch free to move and keep cables out of the liquid path.

Information needed for a quotation

Send the full model code, the quantity, the delivery location in Oman or the GCC, the intended use and any accessories needed, so that the complete package can be quoted together.

Documents and supply information

The manufacturer data sheet is attached to this page and should be read together with the project specification and the site risk assessment before a purchase is confirmed. Ratings, standards and dimensions are quoted as printed on that sheet. Lead time, stock position and certificates available with the shipment are confirmed in the quotation, and we supply to Oman and the wider GCC region for industrial, utility and building services projects.

Using the D-M in GCC projects

Typical jobs are construction dewatering, basement and underground car park sumps, stormwater pits after heavy rain, and screened sewage lifting in buildings and small stations. Liquid limits are only 35 to 50 C, so pumps are not for hot process liquids. Because hazardous-area, seawater and fire approvals are not given in this catalogue for the D-M series, none is claimed.

Related pumps can be browsed in the pumps category. The Caprari catalogue is attached. Seven Star LLC is an independent supplier in Muscat: send the sub-series, power, voltage, liquid and head and we will confirm the exact model against the Caprari catalogue before quoting.
