Brand: Hilti
Hilti HST3 Torque-Controlled Wedge Anchor M8-M24
Description
The Hilti HST3 is a torque-controlled wedge (expansion) anchor for cracked and non-cracked concrete, sized M8 to M24. Hilti calls it its ultimate-performance expansion anchor, assessed under ETA-98/0001 with seismic categories C1 and C2, and describes it for all safety-relevant fastenings such as hand rails and racks.
Why a seismic-assessed wedge anchor matters on structural steel and racking
The Hilti product page states increased undercut percentage with an optimised coating, two embedment depths in the ETA, and minimum edge and spacing distances reduced by up to 25 percent compared with the HST. The datasheet adds suitability for concrete C12/15 to C80/95 (the ETA itself covers C20/25 to C50/60, with other classes under Hilti technical data), approved non-cleaning of hammer-drilled holes, use with an impact wrench with adaptive torque module, and a product and length identification mark for inspection.

The Hilti datasheet gives design values for tension and shear in cracked and non-cracked concrete, edge and spacing data per size, and fire resistance values; use PROFIS Engineering for non-standard embedment, edge distance or group cases.
Selection and ordering checks
Confirm the size, anchor length (the datasheet gives maximum lengths of 260 to 500 mm depending on size), the concrete condition, the base-material thickness and the corrosion environment before ordering; where the environment is corrosive or damp, confirm whether the stainless A4 HST3-R is the correct choice. Check the fixture thickness against the maximum length and the embedment depth. A larger-diameter, undercut alternative is the HDA anchor, and for chemical anchoring see HIT-HY 200-R V3.

About brand
Hilti is the Liechtenstein construction technology company for fastening, anchoring, firestop, installation and power tool systems. The brothers Martin and Eugen Hilti opened a small mechanical workshop in Schaan, Liechtenstein, in 1941, and the company turned to fastening technology after Martin Hilti acquired a fastening patent in 1948. Hilti is still headquartered in Schaan and controlled by the Martin Hilti Family Trust, created in 1980.
Seven Star LLC is an independent supplier in Muscat. We list Hilti power tools and firestop products, each with the manufacturer operating instructions, for contractors and maintenance teams in Oman and the GCC.
