Hilti HDA-T Undercut Anchor for Dynamic Loads M10-M20
Description
The Hilti HDA-T is a self-undercutting, through-set heavy-duty anchor for cracked and non-cracked concrete in sizes M10 to M20. Hilti lists it for safety-relevant fastenings under dynamic loading (shock, seismic and fatigue), with approvals that include nuclear power plants, and the same HDA family also offers a pre-set HDA-P version.
Undercut anchoring for dynamic and safety-relevant loads
Hilti states that the HDA combines the flexibility and immediate loading capability of a post-installed mechanical anchor with the performance of a cast-in-place headed stud. Low expansion forces allow close spacing and small edge distances, and the anchor undercuts the hole as it is set, so no separate undercutting tool is needed. Hilti lists heavy pipe supports, safety barriers, industrial machines, crane rails, crash barriers, roof fixings, elevator tracks and bridge retrofitting as applications. The datasheet also records manufacture under an NQA-1 nuclear quality assurance programme.

Decide between pre-set HDA-P and through-set HDA-T from the fixture and hole alignment, then confirm size, length code, concrete thickness, loading type and the corrosion version (galvanized, sherardized or A4 stainless).
