Elektror ND Low-Pressure Radial Blower, up to 3,200 Pa

Description

Low-pressure radial blowers for ventilation and process air

The Elektror ND series are low-pressure radial blowers with closed impellers of zinc-coated steel and housings of cast aluminium. The range runs from the small D 03 and E 03 to the D 092 and D 09 sizes, with flow rates from 3.7 to 100 m³/min and pressures up to 3,200 Pa, and includes the double-sided 2D versions with flows up to 95 m³/min.

The catalogue names supplying medium air volumes in systems with higher resistance, extraction of gases and vapours, cooling of apparatus and machine components, room ventilation, improving chimney draught, air supply for gas, oil and coal-fired systems, drying and external ventilation of electrical machinery as the typical uses. Three-phase (D) and single-phase (E) motors are both offered.

Selection and what to confirm before ordering

Select the size from the duty point and compare it with the characteristic curves in the catalogue, which are measured to EN ISO 5801. Where the application needs more pressure, step to the RD or HRD series; where the resistance is low and the volume is high, the ND is the economical choice. Provide a filter upstream of the blower if the air carries particles, as closed impellers are not designed for solids.

Confirm flow, pressure difference, voltage and frequency, temperature and density of the medium, housing position and accessories. The ND catalogue is the 2023 bilingual edition; a separate ATEX catalogue and a Chinese/English ND edition are listed on the manufacturer page. See the ebm-papst R1G225-AF11-52 DC fan for axial fans and the HVAC & Combustion category.

How the Elektror ND radial blower works

A motor turns a closed impeller with curved blades. Air enters at the centre and is thrown outward by the blades into the housing. The housing slows the air and turns the speed into pressure. A radial blower gives more pressure than an axial fan for the same size. It is therefore used where the air has to pass through a system with higher resistance.

Where the ND blower is used

  • Extraction of gases and vapours
  • Cooling of machines and apparatus
  • Room ventilation
  • Air supply for gas, oil and coal-fired systems
  • Drying and external ventilation of electrical machinery

Selection checklist for the ND blower

  • Airflow in m3/min
  • Pressure in Pa against the system resistance
  • Single-sided or double-sided (2D) type
  • Three-phase (D) or single-phase (E) motor
  • Supply frequency, 50 or 60 Hz
  • Air and medium temperature
  • Impeller material
  • Options such as variable speed or ATEX

Installation, commissioning and maintenance notes for the ND blower

Fix the blower on a firm base and connect the ducts so they do not load the housing. Check that the impeller turns freely and in the right direction. Wire the motor to the correct voltage. Clean the impeller from time to time, since dust makes it unbalanced. Keep the motor cooling air path open.

Requesting a quotation for the Elektror ND blower

Please send the airflow, the pressure, the motor type and the quantity. Seven Star LLC serves industrial customers in Oman and the GCC and replies with a quotation based on the information provided.

ND blower sealing

IP 55 and tropical insulation are available, and a PTFE radial shaft seal can be fitted.

ND blower efficiency

Versions with IE3 and NEMA Premium motors are listed in the catalogue.

Blower records for the ND

Record the model, the supply voltage and the date of each cleaning.

Choosing the right ND blower

Choose the size from the airflow and pressure needed, then the motor from the supply available.

Documents and quotation

The Elektror ND low-pressure blower catalogue (bilingual German/English) is attached to this page and is the manufacturer’s own document, not a Seven Star summary. It contains dimension drawings and curves for every size.

Quote the blower size, supply and flow. Seven Star LLC, an independent supplier in Muscat, quotes the ND series against your application data; send the enclosure size, ambient temperature, supply voltage and quantity so the correct variant and article number can be confirmed before an offer is issued.

About brand

Elektror is a German manufacturer of industrial fans and side channel blowers. Elektror airsystems was founded in 1924, has its headquarters in Ostfildern and produces at Waghäusel in Germany and Chorzów in Poland. The company builds radial and axial industrial fans and side channel blowers, and supplies accessories and customised ventilation solutions.

Elektror blower range

The centrifugal range includes the RD medium-pressure and HRD high-pressure blowers in cast aluminium, the ND low-pressure series, the A-HP high-pressure blowers for frequency-converter operation, and steel and stainless steel S-series blowers such as the S-LP and S-HE. Side channel blowers are offered as SD, 1SD and 2SD, and many centrifugal sizes are available as ATEX versions to directive 2014/34/EU on request.

Requesting a quote for blowers

Send the blower type, the required volumetric flow and total or static pressure, the voltage and frequency, the medium with its temperature and density, and the housing position. The manufacturer's catalogues use the same ordering data, so the exact duty point lets the right size be confirmed before an offer is issued.
