Flygt F 3153 Chopper Wastewater Pump

Description

A self-cleaning chopper pump for heavy-duty wastewater

The Flygt F 3153 is a chopper pump from the Flygt F-pump series, which combines the patented N-impeller with a chopper insert ring that cuts fibres, textiles, plastics and other hard-to-pump solids into small pieces. The series is designed for heavy-duty wastewater, food processing, pulp and paper, sludge pumping, aquaculture, agricultural and correctional facilities, with ratings from 1.3 to 47 kW, flows to 200 l/s and heads to 81 m. The 3153 covers 7.5 to 15 kW and is one of the models for which a cutting knife and feeding screw are offered.

Selection notes

The brochure shows discharge sizes from 80 mm (3 in) to 200 mm (8 in) across the range. Choose a chopper pump where solids and fibres overwhelm a standard non-clog pump, for example in sludge, food waste, aquaculture or industrial sump duties, and an N-pump where passing solids is preferred to cutting. The 3153 can be ordered with a cutting knife and a feeding screw depending on the dry-solids content, and with explosion-proof approval. Related items: the Flygt N 3085 and other units under pumps.

About brand

Submersible pumping for wastewater is the field Flygt works in, with roots in Sweden going back to 1901, and its pumps and mixers sit in lift stations and treatment plants around the world. Seven Star LLC, an independent supplier in Muscat, lists Flygt submersible wastewater pumps, including the N 3085, the N 3153, the F 3153 chopper pump and the Concertor pumping system, together with the 4410 mixer, and sources Flygt submersible pumps and spare parts for utilities, contractors and industrial sites in Oman.

Flygt pump families we handle

The manufacturer groups its wastewater pumps into N-technology pumps, the Concertor series and channel impeller pumps, alongside submersible dewatering pumps, mixers and pump monitoring units such as the MAS 801. The N 3085 listed here belongs to the N-technology line, which is built around an impeller meant to keep passing rags and solids instead of clogging. Concertor combines the pump with built-in control electronics. Older units may carry ITT Flygt on the data plate; the model number is read the same way.

Ordering Flygt pumps and parts: what we need

Send everything on the pump data plate: model number, version, serial number, impeller or curve code, motor rating, voltage and frequency. For a new pump add flow, head, the liquid and its solids content, and whether the pump sits on guide rails in a wet well, is portable or is dry mounted. For Flygt spare parts anywhere in the GCC, a clear photo of the data plate plus the part description lets us match the manufacturer's parts list.
