Brand: Streamlight
Streamlight 2AAA ProPolymer HAZ-LO ATEX Zone 0 Flashlight
Description
A marker-sized Zone 0 flashlight for the shirt pocket
Streamlight describes the 2AAA ProPolymer HAZ-LO ATEX as about the size of a marker. It takes two AAA alkaline cells, weighs 54 g and measures 13.7 cm, yet it is certified to II 1G Ex ia IIC T3/T4 Ga, so it can be carried into Zone 0 areas where a small, always-available light is needed by operators, instrument technicians and inspectors.
Output is 60 lumens and 800 candela with a 57 m beam distance and 16 hours of run time. A textured parabolic reflector produces a blended beam rather than a tight pencil, which suits close-range reading of gauges, labels and junction boxes. Operation is a push-button tail switch and an integrated pocket clip.

Certificate details and cell restrictions
The Zone 0 rating applies only with the cells named on the certificate. The fact sheet lists Energizer E92, Duracell MN2400, Rayovac NO.824 and Panasonic LR03PA (Panasonic AM-4 for the IEC listing). The temperature class is T3 or T4 depending on that cell, so a T4 requirement should be matched to the exact battery brand rather than assumed.
As with other Streamlight intrinsically safe lights, the instructions call for battery replacement only in a known safe area, and replacing parts can impair the approval. The IPX4 rating means splash resistance, not immersion, which is the key difference from the IPX7 rating of the larger 2AA model.
Choosing between the 2AAA and larger Zone 0 lights
The 2AAA trades range for size: 57 m against 96 m for the 2AA and a 54 g body against 100 g. Many sites issue it as a personal backup light and keep the larger flashlight for rounds. If a hands-free option is needed, see the 3AA headlamp in the same ATEX range.
The yellow box version (66508) is useful where a high-visibility colour helps recover a dropped light in dark or smoky areas. Streamlight’s fact sheet lists no optional accessories for the 2AAA beyond the nylon holster on the information sheet.
The ProPolymer instructions ask users to remove the batteries during long storage, to inspect the housing, lens and seal periodically for damage that could affect ingress protection, to keep the seal lubricated with silicone grease, and to clean with a damp cloth and mild detergent, never solvents. Batteries are reached by unscrewing the face cap and lifting out the LED module.
Documents and quotation
Attached are Streamlight’s own fact sheet and item-number sheet, and the operating instructions. Confirm the item number for ATEX or InMetro marking, the colour, and the cell brand permitted for your temperature class before you order. A short inquiry with item number, colour and quantity is enough to start a quotation. Browse more Electrical & Power products on this site.

About brand
Streamlight is a manufacturer of professional flashlights, headlamps, lanterns and scene lights based in Eagleville, Pennsylvania, USA. The company traces its current form to 1973 and describes more than 50 years of designing, manufacturing and marketing durable lighting for firefighting, industrial, law enforcement, military, automotive and outdoor users.
Hazardous-area and industrial lighting
The international safety-rated range includes ATEX and IECEx certified flashlights, headlamps and lanterns, among them the ProPolymer HAZ-LO flashlights, the Dualie dual-beam lights, the Survivor right-angle lights and the Vulcan lanterns. Marking, zone, gas group and temperature class differ by model and by the battery fitted, so the certificate and product label should be checked against the classification of the area. Rechargeable work lights, lanterns and tripod scene lights for unclassified areas complete the range.
Requesting a quote for Streamlight lights
Send the five-digit item number with the supply voltage or plug type, the quantity and, for hazardous-area lights, the zone and gas group. Item numbers vary by voltage, colour and package, so the exact number avoids ordering the wrong version.
