SEKO Kronos 65 Peristaltic Dosing Pump 25 l/h

The SEKO Kronos 65 is the high-flow stepper-motor peristaltic dosing pump in the Kronos family, supplied here as the KS FM 00 25 M 1 000 version: 25 ml/h to 25 l/h, back pressure to 0.5 bar, 100-240 Vac, Santoprene tube. The pump head is polypropylene, the enclosure ABS, and the motor runs below 35 dB.

In general, a peristaltic pump keeps the chemical inside the tube, which is why this pump type is often chosen for hypochlorite, polymers and viscous liquids (general engineering note, not a datasheet claim).

A peristaltic pump with a wide turn-down ratio

A stepper motor turns a roller rotor that squeezes the tube, and firmware micro-dosing keeps flow accurate down to 25 ml/h while the same pump reaches 25 l/h safely at 0.1 bar. Operation and maintenance

The tube is the only wearing part. Replace it on a schedule matched to run hours and chemical, and always use the tube material SEKO specifies for the pump head. Calibrate flow by timing a measured volume, and use the batch mode to deliver a fixed volume per signal. Wall mount the pump so the suction line is short and below the tank where possible.

GCC use cases

Typical uses are sodium hypochlorite at small water systems, polymer and coagulant aid at wastewater skids, antifoam and cleaning chemicals in food plants, and dosing of viscous or abrasive liquids. In summer heat, protect the tube from direct sun and keep chemical temperatures within the tube rating.

Selection and installation notes

A dosing pump is sized from the flow and pressure at the injection point, so confirm the chemical, its concentration and temperature, the head and seal materials, the back pressure and the stroke or speed range before ordering. Fit an injection valve and a suction strainer, keep the suction line short, prime the pump before use, and use a pressure relief valve on the delivery side. Wear the protective equipment named on the chemical safety data sheet when servicing the pump.

A peristaltic pump needs the tube to be replaced at regular intervals, so keep spare tubes in stock and check the tube material against the chemical being dosed.
