SEKO BL320002 Double Impeller Side Channel Blower 0.70 kW

The SEKO BL 320 002 is the small end of SEKO’s double-impeller side channel blower range: a 0.70 kW unit with 88 m3/h of airflow at 50 Hz, -210 mbar vacuum and 240 mbar pressure, weighing 15 to 16 kg. It comes in a three-phase version (BL32000200700) and a single-phase version (BL320002M0700).

Quiet at 55 dB(A) and light enough to be lifted by hand, it suits skid-mounted air supply, small aeration tanks, vacuum holding and laboratory or pilot plant work.

Compact ring blower for small air and vacuum jobs

Like its larger relatives, the BL 320 002 works on the lateral duct principle and can serve as exhaust or compression fan in continuous service, with the impeller mounted directly on the motor shaft, dynamically balanced rotating parts and a die-cast aluminium body. Its G 1 1/4 connection suits small-bore piping. It is a sensible choice for oil-free air to package aeration units, ozone and gas-transfer skids, suction lifting of small tanks, and as a vacuum source on packaging and printing equipment.

Choosing the right order code

Pick BL32000200700 when a three-phase 200-240 V delta or 345-415 V star supply is available, and BL320002M0700 for a 220-240 V single-phase supply such as site sockets, mobile skids and light commercial buildings. The single-phase version draws 4.5 A at 50 Hz against 3.8 A or 2.2 A for the three-phase one, so check cable sizing. Pressure and vacuum figures are identical at 50 Hz; 60 Hz operation raises both airflow and pressure.

Fitting and installation

The datasheet lists the following accessories for this frame: safety valve BLSV032L02 with kit BLKS032032C, in-line filters in paper (BLIL032PA007), polyester (BLIL032PO025) and stainless steel 30 and 60 micron (BLIL032SS030, BLIL032SS060), cartridge filter BLCF032PA007, nipple and socket kits (BLKC032PN, BLKC032PS), final silencer BLFS032ZP or BLFS032ZPR, indoor filter BLIF032ZP100, pressure gauge BLMN06306, vacuum gauge BLVG06306, sleeve and hose clip kit BLSH032, check valve BLCV032AL and anti-vibration pins BLAV06.

Always fit the safety valve on the pressure side and a filter on the inlet. Allow free air around the motor so heat can escape, and avoid blocking the outlet.

Where the BL320002 is used in the Gulf

Typical GCC uses include package sewage treatment plants, small aeration and ozone skids on water-treatment sites, vacuum pick-up on filling lines, and air-bearing or drying duties in light industry. A stainless steel inlet filter helps in sandy, dusty air; wash or replace it on a schedule.

Selection and installation notes

A side channel blower is selected from the airflow, the vacuum or pressure, the duty cycle and the ambient temperature. Provide a clean intake with a filter, protect the motor against overload, keep the discharge line free of restrictions, fit a safety valve when the system could be blocked and leave clearance around the unit for cooling and for the noise level at the site.

Before ordering, compare the ratings on the data sheet with the project specification, check the connection sizes and the supply conditions, and confirm which accessories, spares and documents travel with the unit.
