OBO 6002417 GR-Magic 105 G Mesh Cable Tray 600 mm 3 m
Description
6002417 is the OBO Bettermann GR-Magic 105 G mesh cable tray, type GRM 105 600 G: 105 mm side height, 600 mm width, 3,000 mm length, electrogalvanised steel wire mesh with a 50 x 100 mm grid and a shaped connector that interlocks with the next length without screws.
Mesh tray for fast, tool-free installation
OBO states that no additional connection components are required for the mesh cable tray: it is simply interlocked, and the datasheet lists a screwless click-fastening connector. The U-shaped profile has an integrated connector at each end, 554 cm2 usable cross-section (55,400 mm2) and no integrated partition.
Mesh trays are lighter than sheet-steel trays: the weight is 363.333 kg per 100 m, about 3.6 kg per metre (derived), and the open grid lets you cut and drill with a bolt cutter and make branches and drops anywhere along the run.
Key features as printed in the datasheet
- Wire mesh 50 x 100 mm grid, side height 105 mm, 600 mm wide, 3 m long.
- Electrogalvanised steel (EN ISO 19598 / EN ISO 4042).
- Screwless integrated connector with click fastening.
- Magnetic shield insulation 15 dB without cover, 25 dB with cover.
- Load test type according to IEC 61537: Type II.
- Permitted support spacing 1 – 3 m.

Selection and ordering guide
Choose mesh tray for data, control and lighter power cables in buildings where installation speed and flexibility matter. For heavy power bundles on long spans choose a perforated tray or ladder. OBO lists other GR-Magic heights, widths and finishes under their own numbers (for example 6002406 is 200 mm wide).
Electrogalvanised finish is meant for dry indoor environments; for outdoor or humid areas look for hot-dip galvanised or stainless versions in OBO’s range.
Installation and operation notes
Slide the shaped connectors into each other until they lock, hang from threaded rod or brackets within 1 – 3 m spacing, and bond the tray according to the earthing design.
Cut with a bolt cutter and deburr cut wires to protect cable insulation.
Derived figures: a 3 m length weighs about 10.9 kg (363.333 kg per 100 m x 3 m), and the 554 cm2 usable cross-section at 600 mm width is far larger than the 118 cm2 of the 200 mm perforated trays in this lane. The load capacity is lower than that of sheet trays (1.6 kN/m at 1 m spacing), so the mesh type is best for lighter cable bundles with closer supports.
Applications in Oman and the GCC
Data centres, IT and telecom rooms, offices, hotels, malls and airports in the GCC use mesh tray for fast fit-out. In hot data rooms the open grid supports airflow around cables.
Not recommended as a substitute for heavy trays in plant rooms with coastal exposure unless the finish suits the corrosivity class.
Site planning tip: the smallest sales unit is 3 metres (one length), and the datasheet states a CO2 footprint of 6.6183 kg CO2e per metre, which helps when a project reports embodied carbon. Covers, risers, bends and T-pieces for the GR-Magic system are separate OBO items; confirm compatibility with the 105 mm side height before ordering them.
Installation and selection notes
GR-Magic mesh tray is interlocked by the screwless connector, which makes it quick to install on ceilings and in ducts. Cut the wires with a bolt cutter, bend the mesh to make small direction changes and branch from any point along the run. The 50 x 100 mm grid gives free ventilation and easy cable exit. Because the mesh is electrogalvanised, it suits dry indoor areas; for outdoor or humid locations confirm the finish with the project specification.
Information needed for a quotation
Send the code, the quantity, the delivery location in Oman or the GCC and any accessories such as connectors, covers, bends or fixings, so that the complete package can be quoted together.
Documents and supply information
The manufacturer data sheet is attached to this page and should be read together with the project specification before a purchase is confirmed. Ratings, dimensions and loads are quoted as printed on that sheet. Lead time, stock position and certificates available with the shipment are confirmed in the quotation, and we supply to Oman and the wider GCC region for industrial, utility and building services projects.
