Picking a size from the V X range

The range runs from 2-75 (3 GroE 75, 78 Ah, 17.3 kg, 184 x 155 x 410 mm) to 2-2600 (26 GroE 2600, 2860 Ah, 320.0 kg, 330 x 575 x 590 mm) in steps of 25 to 100 Ah, drawn as Figures A to D. The 2-1000 sits in the 330 x 270 mm group that runs from 2-500 to 2-1100.

Storage, commissioning and maintenance from the manual

The manual states that V X cells must be recharged after 6 weeks of storage at 20 °C. Fill, commission and float at 2.23 V per cell, and expect an open-circuit voltage of about 2.06 V per cell when full. An equalizing charge is only needed after deep discharge, uneven warming or large cell-voltage differences, at no more than 2.4 V per cell. Ventilation must keep hydrogen below 4 percent by volume.

Maintenance rhythm: visual inspection and charging-voltage check every 6 months, individual voltages and insulation resistance later in the cycle, and a capacity test every few years. New-battery insulation must exceed 1 megohm and never fall below 100 ohm per volt. With AquaGen plugs the operating temperature must stay at or above 5 °C.
