The JRT modular gearmotor line is listed in its four classic forms: the R series helical gearmotor with in-line shafts, the F series parallel shaft helical gearmotor, the K series helical-bevel gearmotor with a right-angle output, and the S series helical-worm gearmotor. For heavier duty there are two industrial gear units: the JRHH with parallel shafts and the JRHB helical-bevel unit.
Where JIE drives are used
R and F units drive conveyors, agitators and pumps where the motor sits in line with or parallel to the driven shaft. K units fit where space forces a right-angle layout, as on belt conveyor heads and bucket elevators. The JRHH and JRHB industrial gear units are applied to large conveyors, crushers, mills and hoisting gear in cement, mining, ports and bulk handling, industries well represented in the GCC.
Ordering JIE gearmotors: what we need
Send the full type designation and the nameplate data of the existing unit: ratio, output speed, motor power, mounting position and serial number. For a new drive we need the required output torque and speed, the service factor or a description of the load, shaft type (solid or hollow, with dimensions), foot or flange mounting, motor voltage and frequency, brake if any, and the ambient temperature. A dimensional sketch of the driven machine shaft prevents most fitting errors.

What is the difference between JIE JRT R, F, K and S gearmotors?
They differ in gear arrangement and shaft layout. R is a helical unit with the output in line with the motor. F is a parallel shaft helical unit. K is helical-bevel with a right-angle output. S is helical-worm, also right-angle. The choice depends on the space available, the torque required and how the unit is fixed to the machine.
How do I identify a JIE gearmotor from its nameplate?
The nameplate gives the type designation, gear ratio, output speed, mounting position and serial number, and the motor has its own plate with power, voltage, frequency and speed. Photograph both plates. The mounting position matters because it sets the oil fill quantity and the breather location, so a unit ordered for the wrong position needs changes before use.
When is a JRHH or JRHB industrial gear unit used instead of a JRT gearmotor?
JRT gearmotors combine motor and gearbox in one compact package. The JRHH parallel shaft and JRHB helical-bevel units belong to the manufacturer's JRH industrial gear unit line, which is built as separate gearboxes for heavy drives. Send the torque, speed, duty and layout and the selection can be checked against the manufacturer's rating tables.
What data is needed to select a replacement for another make of gearmotor?
Send the old nameplate, the ratio, output speed, motor power, mounting position and the key dimensions: shaft diameter and length or hollow bore, flange or foot hole pattern and center height. With these the manufacturer's dimension sheets can be compared. Dimensional interchangeability has to be confirmed model by model and is never assumed.
