Leybold 10770700V01 VACUBE VQ 700 i Oil-Sealed Screw Vacuum Pump
Description
A 700 m3/h screw pump that follows the process load
When a plant needs more than the 420 m3/h of the VQ 400, Leybold 10770700V01 steps up to the VACUBE VQ 700 i. It is a single-stage, oil-sealed screw pump with a built-in variable speed drive and a maximum effective pumping speed of 700 m3/h (412 cfm), driven by an 11 kW (15 hp) motor. In the front-panel i model the pump is meant for low-vapour applications; Leybold gives central vacuum systems for holding, lifting and moving parts as the typical case.
The idea behind VACUBE is that the speed drive lets the pump deliver exactly the vacuum the process asks for. Because the on-board controller manages setpoint pressure and temperature, the pump does not waste power at full speed while the load is light, and the catalogue lists sustainable power saving through on-demand vacuum generation as one of its advantages.

Selection and installation notes
A vacuum pump is selected from the pumping speed, the ultimate pressure and the gases or vapours it will handle. Use the oil grade the maker names, check the oil level before starting, connect the exhaust to a safe place and fit an oil mist filter where needed, use a trap or filter ahead of the pump for dust and vapour and warm the pump before pumping condensable vapour. Service the oil and filters on the schedule in the manual.
Information needed for a quotation
Send the full model code, the quantity, the delivery location in Oman or the GCC, the intended use and any accessories needed, so that the complete package can be quoted together.
Documents and supply information
The manufacturer data sheet is attached to this page and should be read together with the project specification and the site risk assessment before a purchase is confirmed. Ratings, standards and dimensions are quoted as printed on that sheet. Lead time, stock position and certificates available with the shipment are confirmed in the quotation, and we supply to Oman and the wider GCC region for industrial, utility and building services projects.
Related ordering codes for the VQ 700
| Model | Description | Part No. |
|---|---|---|
| i, front panel | The pump described on this page | 10770700V01 |
| iH, front panel | High water vapour tolerance for humid applications | 10770700V10 |
| i, HMI | Same pump with HMI | 10770700V05 |
| iH, HMI | High water vapour tolerance with HMI | 10770700V15 |
Accessories printed beside these codes include a manual inlet valve for VQ 400 to 800 (177005A78), NPT 3 inch threaded inlet (177005A50) and NPT 2-1/2 inch outlet (177005A60), a Wi-Fi option (3002615051), the Multi-VAControl central controller (10430001V01) and power transformers for 200-230 V and 500-575 V networks, with separate part numbers per model.
Why the controller matters
- MK5 and VAControl platforms are available; both give setpoint control, alarms, timers and maintenance interval tracking.
- VAControl adds local, Wi-Fi, LAN or cloud access and records the pump performance data for diagnostics and energy efficiency monitoring.
- With the Multi-VAControl central controller up to 20 pumps can be synchronised, and a spare pump can be held in reserve, which is how a larger central vacuum plant is built from several VQ units.
- Fieldbus connection to a PLC and Ethernet read-out are supported for the MK5 controller.
Planning the installation
The VQ 700 is larger than the entry model, with a printed weight range up to 520 kg, so check the floor loading and the lifting route before delivery. The catalogue publishes dimensional drawings, pumping speed curves and installation requirements for the VQ 400 to VQ 800 range, including a clearance square drawn around the pump for cooling air and service. Supply is 380-460 V three-phase, so a 400 V GCC network matches directly. In hot machine rooms stay under the 46 degrees C ambient limit and give the vertical cooling air path free access.
Where a VQ 700 i fits
Printed application areas include woodworking and lamination, packaging and thermoforming, glass forming and handling, print and paper, lithium-ion cell manufacturing, coating, dehumidification, vacuum cooling and pipeline drying. A 700 m3/h unit is used where one or two pumps serve a header with many consumers, such as a vacuum lifting system for panels or a thermoforming line. If the process carries a lot of water vapour, move to the iH code 10770700V10 rather than the i model.
For a VQ 700 enquiry please state the suffix, voltage and controller, plus how many pumps will share one header. The pumps category lists related items.

About brand
Leybold is a German manufacturer of vacuum pumps and vacuum technology, headquartered in Cologne, with a history that goes back to 1850. Ernst Leybold's firm became known for vacuum research, including Wolfgang Gaede's work on the turbomolecular principle in 1911 and the diffusion pump in 1913. Leybold was part of Oerlikon until September 2016, when Atlas Copco completed its acquisition.
Seven Star LLC is an independent supplier in Muscat. We list selected Leybold pumps with the official catalogue pages for industrial and laboratory users in Oman and the GCC.
