Leybold part 960 500 is the SOGEVAC SV 100 B in its plain industrial form: a three-phase CEI motor for 230/400 V at 50 Hz and 460 V at 60 Hz, no gas ballast and no oil filter. With a nominal pumping speed of 97.5 m3/h (57.4 cfm) at 50 Hz and 117.0 m3/h (68.9 cfm) at 60 Hz, it is the step up from the 40 to 65 m3/h pumps in the same range and the first SOGEVAC B size that is shipped already filled with oil, ready to run.
Because the pump is aimed at dry or lightly loaded rough vacuum, the catalogue keeps the vapour-handling versions on separate part numbers. If the process pumps water vapour or solvent vapour, choose a code with small or standard gas ballast instead of 960 500.

Choosing between the SV 100 B variants
The ordering block for the SV 100 B runs to a dozen codes. Besides 960 500 it lists, for example, 960 503 and 960 523 (small gas ballast with oil filter), 960 505, 960 507, 960 512, 960 514 and 960 524 (standard gas ballast), and 960 511 and 960 521 (small gas ballast without oil filter). CEI motors are listed for 230/400 V at 50 Hz and 460 V at 60 Hz, NEMA motors for 230/460 V at 60 Hz and 400 V at 50 Hz, and one entry for 200 V at 50/60 Hz (JIS). Installation and running notes
The pump is supplied with its oil charge already in the sump, which the catalogue contrasts with the smaller SV 10 B to SV 65 B models that ship with a separate canister. Leave the clearances shown on the dimensional drawing for exhaust filter change and for the motor fan. The pump has an integrated anti-suckback valve with wire-mesh protection that closes the intake at standstill, and an integrated exhaust filter whose oil return line sends separated oil back to the sump, with a separation efficiency stated above 99.9 percent.
