Brand:

DAB MICRA 100 M 3-Inch Multi-Impeller Submersible Pump

Description

MICRA 100 M is the 1 HP (0.75 kW) single-phase model of the DAB MICRA 3-inch multi-impeller submersible pumps, which lift clean water from the subsoil with a head of up to 90 m, an immersion depth of up to 150 m and a pump diameter of only 74 mm.

A slim borehole pump for pressurisation and irrigation

DAB describes the MICRA as a 3-inch multi-impeller submersible pump for pressurisation, drawing water from the subsoil, gardening and irrigation in domestic and residential applications. At 74 mm maximum diameter it fits narrow bores and tubes where a 4-inch pump will not go. The MICRA 100 M is the top size of the single-phase range, with a tabulated head of 90 m at 0.3 m3/h falling to 14 m at 2.7 m3/h.

The designation follows a simple rule printed on the sheet: MICRA, then the motor power in HP multiplied by 10 (so 100 means 1 HP), then M for single-phase or T for three-phase. A ready-to-use kit is also listed that adds a 15 m cable and a dual-capacitor control box (CBS 07 for the MICRA 100 M) to improve starting torque.

Construction from the datasheet

  • Impellers in technopolymer (Noryl GFN2) with self-lubricating polyacetal diffusers.
  • Pump liner, shaft, coupling, filter and cable cover in stainless steel; brass suction support and delivery body.
  • Non-return valve built into the delivery head.
  • Two-pole submersible motor fully built in AISI 304 stainless steel with a Kingsbury-type thrust unit cooled by the water.
  • Stator immersed in thermosetting resin and sealed in an airtight stainless steel casing; removable power cord.
  • Maximum sand content 40 g/m3 and maximum 20 starts per hour.

M or T, and which size

The sheet lists MICRA 50 M, 75 M, 75 T, 100 M and 100 T plus the 15 m cable and control-box kits for the three M models. Choose the 100 M for a single-phase 230 V supply when you need the highest head of the range; the MICRA 100 T is the three-phase 400 V equivalent at 2.4 A. The control panel is supplied separately for single-phase pumps unless you order the kit, and for three-phase versions the user provides motor protection.

Installation notes

Install the pump vertically; the sheet says that horizontal installation requires a minimum load on the thrust unit. Keep it fully submerged below the dynamic water level, within the 150 m depth limit, and do not exceed 20 starts an hour. As general practice, because the stated sand tolerance is only 40 g/m3, flush a new bore clear of sand before connecting the pump.

Where it is used in Oman and the GCC

Slim 3-inch pumps suit private wells, farm bores, small date-palm and garden irrigation systems and domestic tank filling where the bore is narrow. The sheet limits liquid temperature to +35°C, so confirm the actual water temperature of a shallow well in summer before specifying this model; it is not a hot-water or process pump.

A submersible pump is selected from the liquid, the solids size, the head and the depth of the pit or well. Lower it on a chain or rope and not by the cable, keep it clear of the pit floor, fit a float switch or level control so it cannot run dry, use a cable and breaker rated for the motor and check the direction of rotation on three-phase models. Clean the inlet and inspect the pump at regular intervals.

Information needed for a quotation

Send the full model code, the quantity, the delivery location in Oman or the GCC, the intended use and any accessories needed, so that the complete package can be quoted together.

Documents and supply information

The manufacturer data sheet is attached to this page and should be read together with the project specification and the site risk assessment before a purchase is confirmed. Ratings, standards and dimensions are quoted as printed on that sheet. Lead time, stock position and certificates available with the shipment are confirmed in the quotation, and we supply to Oman and the wider GCC region for industrial, utility and building services projects.
