Brand: DAB Pumps
DAB JET 102 M Self-Priming Centrifugal Pump 0.75 kW
Description
JET 102 M is the single-phase 0.75 kW (1 HP) model of the DAB JET range of self-priming centrifugal pumps: a cast-iron pump body, technopolymer impeller and venturi group, carbon/ceramic seal and a shut-off head of 53.8 m on clean water.
A self-priming jet pump for clean-water supply
DAB describes the JET family as self-priming pumps with excellent suction capacity even when air bubbles are present, used mainly in domestic water supply, small farms and gardens, small-scale industrial services and wherever self-priming is needed. The JET 102 M is the 102 step of the series: it uses the same 1 x 220-240 V, 50 Hz supply as the other M models but sits above the JET 62 and JET 82 in pressure, with a tabulated head of 53.8 m at zero flow falling to 25.8 m at 3.6 m3/h.
The datasheet limits the pumped liquid to clean, non-viscous, non-aggressive, uncrystallised and chemically neutral water, with only low levels of sandy impurities tolerated. Maximum operating pressure is 8 bar. The pump is installed fixed in a horizontal position; special executions with other voltages or frequencies are available only on request from the maker.
What the datasheet says about the JET 102 M
- Cast-iron pump body and motor support; the frame is die-cast aluminium.
- Technopolymer impeller, diffuser, venturi tube and sand guard, with a stainless steel wear ring.
- Carbon/ceramic mechanical seal with NBR O-ring gaskets.
- Closed asynchronous motor with external air cooling and oversized greased-for-life ball bearings.
- Thermo-amperometric protection and a permanently inserted 16 µF capacitor in the single-phase version.
- Built to CEI 2-3 and CEI 61-69 (EN 60335-2-41), as printed on the sheet.

Choosing the right JET size
The sheet lists JET 62 M, 82 M and T, 92 M, 102 M and T, 112 M and T and 132 M and T, with the 62 to 112 sizes giving the highest heads and the 92 and 132 sizes the largest flows in the family. Pick the JET 102 M when you need roughly 30 to 50 m of head from a single-phase supply at flows of 1 to 3 m3/h; for three-phase 230/400 V the JET 102 T is the matching code, listed in IE3 and IE2 motor versions. The next step up in head is the JET 112.
Installation and operating limits
Mount the pump fixed and horizontal, with the motor kept dry and ventilated: IP 44 is a splash-proof rating, not a submersible or hose-down rating. Keep ambient air below 40°C and liquid below 35°C if the water is for domestic use. The single-phase motor carries its own thermal protection; the sheet recommends external overload protection only for three-phase versions.
Use clean water. The sheet allows low levels of sandy impurities but not abrasive or fibrous slurries, which would wear the technopolymer venturi group and the wear ring.
Where it fits in Oman and the GCC
In villas, farms and labour camps fed from a tank, well or storage cistern, a self-priming pump like this lifts and pressurises water without an air-lock problem when air enters the suction line. Typical uses are garden and landscape irrigation, transfer from underground tanks to rooftop tanks, and small wash-down circuits. The cast-iron body suits indoor plant rooms or shaded pump pits; keep it out of direct sun and outside salt spray, because the motor is only IP 44 and the sheet does not give a corrosion rating for coastal air.
