Tegera 8821 High-Visibility Nitrile Dot Assembly Gloves
Description
A high-visibility knitted glove for precision work and light contact heat
Tegera 8821 is a 15 gauge high-visibility knitted glove for precision work in dry to moist environments. The palm is dipped in nitrile foam and carries yellow nitrile dots for grip, and the fingertips work on touchscreens so the user does not need to take the glove off between tasks. Ejendals describes it as flexible, soft and very durable, made of 15 gauge fibre for all-day comfort.
It is listed as an assembly, heat protection and precision work glove and is latex-free. The heat rating is stated for the palm area only: EN 407 X1XXXX records contact heat level 1, which the sheet gives as withstanding contact heat up to 100 C. It is a light-weight Category II glove with a knitwrist cuff.

What the 4131A and X1XXXX codes mean in practice
EN 388 code 4131A gives abrasion 4, blade cut 1, tear 3 and puncture 1, with ISO 13997 cut level A (code structure from EN 388). Abrasion 4 is the top level and the strongest figure on the glove, while cut and puncture are low, so choose it for wear resistance rather than protection from knives.
EN 407 X1XXXX means only contact heat was tested, at level 1 (100 C), and the sheet carries a note that the rating applies to the palm area only; it does not provide flame protection. The risks Ejendals lists for the glove are abrasion injuries, blisters, scratches, lacerations and contact with dirt, and its primary environments are dry, moist and dirty ones. Order the eight sizes by article number, such as 8821-9, in bulk quantities of 12 pairs, and tell us whether you want one size or a size run for the whole crew.
On the job
The high-visibility colour helps a supervisor or forklift driver see the hands in warehouses and on construction sites. Keep the glove clear of hot work and open flame. The knitwrist cuff holds the glove at the wrist and keeps swarf or dust from entering, but it is not a sealed cuff.
Wash only according to the label and replace the glove when the nitrile foam on the fingertips has worn away. A worn coating means less grip and less abrasion protection.
Warehouses, assembly lines and installation
Areas printed on the sheet are agricultural work, airport work, assembly, building and construction, repair work, transport work and warehouse work, with agriculture, rubber and plastics, basic metals, transportation, electricity and gas supply, building, mining and warehousing as industries. Typical tasks are parts picking, fastening and handling of warm components below 100 C.
Selection and care notes
The contact heat rating of level 1 is limited to the palm area and brief contact, so do not use the glove for hot surfaces above the printed value. The high visibility colour helps in busy areas, but it does not replace a high visibility garment where one is required. Wash as described on the label and replace worn gloves.

Ordering Tegera gloves: what we need
Send the model number, the size and the number of pairs. Ejendals article numbers add the size, for example 7788-9 for a large. For chemical gloves also give the substances, because the permeation results are printed for only a few test chemicals.
Facts checked against Ejendals' own history page and product catalogues, October 2026.
